When I play CFB 25 as LSU in my dynasty, I almost exclusively use this for my home games and the all whites for away. Sometimes I use the gold jerseys at home, or get really wild with the all gold. I almost never use the traditional set.

But, I also run a triple option offense too…

Gold White Gold . Wear the iconic uniforms. Stop the bull shite. If the other teams gets to choose white, then go with gold, purple, gold. Final answer.

As soon as they posted the jerseys, I knew you idiots would complain about it. You’re a joke.

We don’t take orders from Bowl Games.

I agree we shouldn’t play and SEC matchup or Bowl Game in anything other than white. Save the alts for homecoming and Southeastern

Setting aside the one time yellow jerseys, this fan base has to be the only one on earth willing to melt down for months over a team having two basic uniform combinations, with the same design.

Guys, Baylor is wearing yellow helmets and pants.

Is it really that hard to understand why we'll be in the white helmets?

I'm not anti-alternate uniforms. But I'm starting to agree it's getting to be too much. No, it doesn't have any effect on winning or losing. But you hear a lot of talk from LSU about the "LSU brand". Part of that "brand" is the uniform. It's identifiable in college football because very few schools have that color combination, and no one has a similar uniform to LSU with the design/color combo. It's something that when you, or anyone, sees it they immediately know it's LSU.

Quit with whatever the player wants, they ultimately just want money. Let the adults run the program.

If you are developing and maintaining an established "brand" with decades of goodwill built into it consistency matters.

Again, I'm not saying a few deviations here or there are unwarranted. But it is trending towards the deviations are becoming the norm. LSU wore alternate uniforms for 1/2 of their 8 SEC games this year. That's the first time I can remember that high of a frequency

This is an interesting topic actually. Texas very rarely will wear throwbacks or a helmet sticker to mark some anniversary, but absolutely never an alternate color combination. Burnt orange pants or helmet would look ridiculous though.

I can’t remember seeing USC or Bama in anything other than their standard home or road unis.

The look is exactly the same, the colors is what is different. If i turn on the TV and it's only on black and white, I still know who is playing.

Does wearing a uniform combination (G-P-G) that LSU rarely wore in their first 100 years of playing football really count as “tradition”?

Yes.

Do you really think that the players care more about the uniform than getting paid?

No, I don’t think they do, but I also don’t think the preferences of one generation of fans constitutes a tradition either. It’s like musical styles in churches. Older generations always seem to think that musical styles they grew up with are the “traditional” style when really it only began with their generation.

Me neither, nor do I think one generation of fans should dictate to the other generations that have enjoyed and supported LSU football for decades how shite's all going to go now.

It's as if this generation is saying, "LSU football has been so awesome for so long, let's change it all up to make it unrecognizable!" I get it, young people think they are so much more important than old people - until they need money.
