Whit Weeks Injury Update?

Sorry if I missed it but has there been any update on his injury status? Are we still hopeful that he will play at some point this season?

Looking like he may be back for the Alabama game. If so, we will have a greater chance of winning out.

Nobody here really has info.
Lots of repeated lines of “he may not be back, and if so late season or playoff push if in it.”
Obviously would be great to get him for bama but them being a little more tight lipped on him where as TDG is more open info says what you need to know.

I don't think he's back for Bama, but who knows.
He had surgery, this isn't a Tre Green situation of a deep bruise.

It was 6 weeks best case scenario
That’s borderline for Bama.
He’d basically need to be running around by now for that to be a possibility.
Green seems to have snuck up on us.
Maybe that will happen for Weeks too.

The injury report is a few threads down. There really has been no insider info on injuries. It's all speculation.

I’ve honestly heard 3 different things from individuals involved with the program.
1. He’s shut it down for this year and will go pro.
2. He’s shut it down but will be back next year.
3. He’s eyeing a Texas/UT return date.

Everyone should be used to this by now. I love his loyalty, but he really needs to sit out a year or so to heal up. Ankle injuries never go away. No way should he come back this year. For his own health.

I saw on here someone say he had tightrope surgery and I recall Tua coming back in 3 wks. I would never advise that. Also I assume that a bone fracture is different than a high ankle sprain like Tua.
That being said 6 wks was thrown out as earliest return when he had the surgery…

With two injury seasons in a row he might be looking at 4th round at best. He’s probably coming back and honestly would likely not lose any money doing so

If he’s looking at 1 year earnings he would make more at LSU by returning.
But that pushes off the timing of that 2nd contract in the NFL and his years to participate.
It’s more than just 1 year dollar to dollar and why it’s such a hard choice for these guys.
I think he goes pro and moves on if I’m a betting man but would love him back for one more ride.

Hell I'd take him back for Tenn. We won't really need him for Texas I don't think, unless they make a change at QB. I'd like to have him for Bama though, although that little running qb got exposed last Saturday.

If we make the playoffs and he shows out against Tennessee, Arkansas and in the postseason he’ll go pro for sure. I hope we give him that chance.
