They say stuff like, "who cares, it's women's sports." Or, "doesn't matter she will lose in the supers" now.

Those people said what is true. She was on the hot seat cause the program has been on decline for years.

Glad they started the season on fire. Hope it continues.

I think this played out differently in your head.

It’s all about what they do in Conference and post season. This is an impressive streak though. However, Beth has a lot more to do to gain my respect. Losing to UL-L at home in a regional is unacceptable.

LSU has won games they should...great start. Even against lower competition, reeling off 15 straight is impressive. Let's see how SEC plays out. If we are battling to go 15-15, again, or 20-10, is the difference....and then NCAA.

Oh Boy, here comes another MAMM gloater.

Softball Nikki (Beth) and the team are doing great so far, but wait until the SEC gets fully underway to start waving the Cheerleader Pom Poms.

Hey, did yall see where the Junior College in Lafayette stormed the Castle and took down the Queen? (Queen Sooner)

This sounds like the type of dumb post that people end up eating crow for.

I don't think anybody's hiding. They're off to a great start. They've had a lot of great starts. We will see if they can continue it and how they fare in the postseason. That is where they've lacked. Nothing happening right now matters at that time.

Who even cares about softball to make a fire Torina thread

(Yes I’ve seen said threads before)

They'll be along once they lose two or three.

Will find out soon enough with SEC play starting.
I would say beating ULL in regional play is priority #1.

The only real competition was in Clearwater and they lost two games in that tourney due to rain although you have to be pleased with getting those walk off ranked wins.

This team is senior driven and that should pay dividends at the end of the year. Can't afford injuries either and Coffey is a big loss but that gives a big opportunity for a younger player waiting to see the field. Hopefully Petty is back soon because she was swining a hot bat. Glad to see Lynch with some really good outings on mound this weekend.

This is nothing new. She has done well in early season before. The issue people have with her is the performance in conference play. The program has gone from a top 2-3 progam in the SEC to middle of the pack. They have had trouble hitting SEC caliber pitching. So, 19-0 is very nice, but been here before. They start SEC play on the road at KY. I'll start assessing the improvement then.

Only problem with Beth is keeping the BBQ buddies. She refused to bring in a top flight hitting coach. This will be her downfall.

They have 2 excellent hitting coaches!!! Coaches Dobson and Neal are elite hitting guys. According to softball folks Neal had up to 4-5 offers from other SEC schools. Coach Dobson has had HC opportunities at other schools…was he elite when they went to 4 WS??
