I can't think in recent memory (not including the CWS Florida game) where the game was ended early due to LSU being the one run ruled.

The run rule wasn’t mandatory in conference games until 2023. Skip and Paul lost games by 10+ runs, too. What’s your point?

run rules only existed, by agreement, in some midweek games when Bertman and Mainieri coached. I can assure you both lost games by 10+ runs way more than twice

twice. Beat us 28-2 in Tuscaloosa and 12-2 in the SECT title game. Also lost to Alabama 17-4 in 1996. Also got spanked in back to back games in the 1999 super regional

The 2000 title team had some bad moments as well. They lost 5 straight games in February, including a loss to McNeese and getting absolutely drubbed by Houston in 3 straight games. Also got beat by Alabama 14-0 to close the regular season. Then the postseason started, they got hot, and the rest is history

run rules in the past for non conf games were decided on by the coaches before the game usually to save pitching with weekend conference series taking precedent

similar to now it's up to LSU and non conf opponent to decided on whether or not to have run rule in effect, I believe last year UNO declined having a ten run rule and LSU agreed to it

3/5/21 Oral Roberts 22, LSU 7
4/1/21 Vandy 13, LSU 1
3/1/20 Oklahoma 1, LSU 0
Getting no-hit by OU’s #3 starter is just as embarrassing (if not more) than being run ruled

Alabama baseball from 1995-1999 was second only to us in the SEC. And outside a couple down years, Wells had them really really good until he retired in 2009.

You must not have good memory because it happens once a season at least. It’s not the end of the world. It’s baseball. It happens to everyone.

We got run ruled by Auburn and lost 2/3 to State last season then went on to win the CWS. Yall act like this is your first time watching LSU baseball. It doesn’t matter how you play in March. It matters how you play in late May. Geaux Tigers
