When your starting quarterback stares at the ground with the “aw shucks” look on his face

In the 2nd Quarter, that’s not a good sign. No fire, no intensity. Then sits at the post-game and says “well I gave it my all”. I don’t know who is officially QB2, but he better be getting some first team snaps this week.

Yeah, I definitely don’t want that guy leading my team. Surely the coaches saw that and will make a change.

Brennan had alot of mistakes but he also had positives. 34 points usually gets LSU the W. This loss should be blamed on the defense coaches were raving about all summer.

Dude the defense gave you 17 of those points. Stop with the narrative that it was all on the defense. They played terribly yesterday but it was not all their fault. Brennan has to play better or this team will not get better. It starts and ends with him.

Our D was on the field all game. Despite their dramatically unexpected secondary performance they still had 4 turnovers, a Pick 6, & 5 sacks. Ppl need to take into perspective Costello’s timing, accuracy, and poise. I’m putting money down on him for Heisman. That was a passing clinic.

Cox scored on a pick 6 & turnovers set up the offense perfectly two other times yet Brennan struggled to cash in on the turnovers.

He made some really good reads & throws yesterday but Ward, Evans & Flott also put on a clinic on how NOT to play CB yesterday.

Eh, every QB (person for that matter) has their own way. I wouldn't necessarily connect performance to that.

That's the thing about confidence... it is always a catch-22. If you do well, you become confident. But to do well, especially a QB, you need to be confident in yourself and your receivers. They need to share a brain. If they don't, you'll lack confidence but it is a symptom of another problem... that problem is not the QB's personality.

More than 'fire' on the sideline Brennan and the WRs need to do alot of practice and have a mind meld so they can start attacking on pass plays.

Two notes on 'fire':
1. Whole sideline had a 'aw shucks' demeanor for large portion of the game
2. Coaches didn't show a lot of confidence in Brennan either. Very few at-line adjustments and I don't think I saw a single RPO.

I just see a disconnect between the receivers and Brennan. That'll cause a confidence problem way more than personality.

I don't want a guy with that attitude and body language to lead my garbage collection crew, much less my football team.

A Catch 22 would be if you did well and got confidence but something else bad happened. Sucking and not having confidence is just cause and effect.

Brennan presser should be the end of his term as starter, he isn’t a gamer.

O should also be blamed for how flat the team was all day on the sidelines. That was some weak shite

I guess that when coach O said that MB was being pushed in practice was more than sending a message to the qb group.
I still remember seeing MB without a headset on being involved in the intra game adjustments. That raised a flag with me. Coach O was told of this on one of the shows and he said that he didn't know that.

If the offense has some TOP in the 1st half, the defense might have played better at the end.
