The thing that pisses me off about the auburn '06 game, is that the same type of "pass interference" play happened earlier in the game when, i think it was Laron, intercepted the ball about 10 yards in front of pass interference, yet they called that pass interference, even thought the ball was no where near the intended reciever.
I don't remember if the PI occurred during the interception, or way before, but none the less, it was a very similar play as the late 4th quarter call.

The officials impact every game. Are you crazy? They bliw calls all the time and its sickening. Why do we have instant replay? Cus the refs dont akways get it rt. The syracuse game last year comes to mind. They really botched that game.
The refs have akso made tackles for LSU and against them. If you dont think the refs fir any sport dont impact the game, you are dumb. They are apart of it.
Now other than the recent nba shite, im not sure they are purposefully trying to change outcome of the game. But you know there are certain players that get under a refs skin and he may show biased when calling fouls or penalties.
Bama is always one of the least oenalized teams, and no its not cus if Saban. In 03 LSU was ine if the most. So yes there could be some shady shite going on the sec.

To go the other way, I'd like to thank the officials for the call in 2005 against Arizona St. That wasn't a catch.

This
No one ever, not on tv, not here, not anywhere, ever mentions this.
On both plays, a receiver was hit before the ball was touched by a defensive player, yet only one was pass interference.

.... ohhh pleeezee... just stop posting dude if this is what you got .. there have been several examples over the years ,,, and not just LSU , but many games involving other teams ... do you ever watch any games ? .. good gravy ! This "deliberately" excuse don't fly ... bonehead calls effect games . Period.. I mean , you see the Vanderbilt v. So Carolina game last week ? You don't think the "no call" on the OBVIOUS interference inside the 20 when 'Dores 3 points down did not effect the game ? ... How about LSU v. Southern Cal in '79 - the infamous phantom "facemask" call against LSU on USC 4th down with under 2 minutes ... talk about effect the outcome ! good grief ..C'mon , man !!

To back this up look at the 2009 Bama/ Tenn game.
Cody should have been flagged for a 15yd unsportsman penalty after taking his helmet off in the field of play after blocking the kick. The ball was still live and the play had not been whistled dead. This would have allowed Tenn to kick again 15yd closer for the win. Once again it would have only been a chance to win but it was a chance they never got.

LSU had the ball 5[FIVE]Times inside the AU 50 in the 1st half and got ZERO points. The play-calling was horrible.
This belongs in the "When was last time play calling impacted an LSU game? Almost never IMO" thread, not here.

but on the the replay you can see that he was tackled prior to the tip, which should have drawn the DPI call
That is what had so many up in arms. They said no matter when the penalty occurred the tip ruled the DPI no good. so yes it MAY have been DPI or holding had the tip not occurred. it is messed up either way.
That is why fans said well heck let's start just tackling guys then tip the ball after if we can to stop passing games. I think the reason DH was not called was because of the yardage? That it can only be called within a certain distance?

Calling the penalty on the wrong person in the mud bowl when the fat frick penn state douche decided to impregnate the football...

it was not DPi due to the tip.
That argument doesn't work for the same reason it didn't work in 2006. Daniel Francis' interception was called back for, wait for it, pass interference on an identical circumstance. The only differences were Francis picked that ball off and he was wearing the p&g. So either Francis' call was wrong and that one was right, or vice versa, but one cannot reach opposite conclusions on the two plays based on a "tip."

06 Auburn is really the only one
We can argue about 09 bama all day, but the INT was really the only huge call. bama was a much better team than us in 2009

Appreciate other’s thoughts, but has any official ever been convicted or admitted to “fixing” a D1 game..ever?
This argument is old, and I'm not going to participate, other than to mention one thing for those that may not have ever heard it.
I listened to an interview with a Big X official on Finebaum (I think) who had 28 years of experience, and I think was retired. He was asked about the LSU-Auburn '06 game.
The official's response was that he didn't see any of it live, but there was so much controversy about it that he watched it on tape. After viewing the game in its entirety, he said, "If there was ever a game to investigate for corrupt officials, this is it."
I also think Stan White, the radio announcer/ ex-Auburn QB, remarkably had some outspoken things to say in these regards.
But, regardless, it's a dead horse.

Posted by drexyl Auburn 06. Only game I can honestly say that the officials royally fricked us over multiple times. One call and human error will happen but that shite was fricking criminal IMO.
This. It's impossible for sims human error to explain how so many obviously bad calls were all made in one game all against the visiting team. Some even after replay review. Was a fix.

1992 LSU/Colorado State. LSU lost 17-14. The game winner for CSU was a long TD run that was mostly out-of-bounds, right in front of a trailing official.
I can also mention a game against Florida State where Alvin Lee's jersey was stretched about three feet keeping him from catching a sure TD pass. Again, right in front of an official.
We can also add Corey Webster's interference on a Bama receiver in the end zone with a game-clenching interception. But who really gives a hoot about that!
