This was after an offseason of coach O being on the hot seat, negatigers were louder than ever, and we had no idea what to expect out of this team but “experts” were predicting 6-6. When Brosette scored this TD against Miami it gave me assurance what maybe Coach O knows that he’s doin

Funny thing is the Rant claimed Burrow was under center all 2018.

He wasn’t u see center 100% of the time but he was 100% under center more than he should have been.

Took a little longer for me. The Jerry Sullivan passing attack wasn’t helping my confidence.

I got in arguments all summer about that. The rant swore up and down that we were barely ever in shotgun in 2018, and I would get down voted to hell for saying that while Ensmingers offense wasn't very creative, we were in shotgun a TON.

To the average fan that was a simple TD run. That was an incredible play that began to show how special Joe was going to be. It is rare for college QBs to change the play at the line on their own, most of the time it comes from the sidelines. Burrow was with the program for 2 months and was able to process this information to call the correct audible

Joe called an audible. It was originally a pass. He saw the outside blitz and checked to an inside run I knew he was special at that moment. Rare that a qb does that In college.

Some dont understand that LSU couldn't get very creative in 2018.

The offensive unit as a whole was very inexperienced and Burrow wasn't with the team for a vast majority of the offseason.

It was also Ensminger's first season as a fulltime OC in like 20 years.

Yes it was. Burrow saw the safety move up and out on the right side.

Except Drew Brees is 40 years old and grew up during a time when you played under center.

Taking a guy who hadn't taken a snap under center since middle school and then asking him to do that without even a spring camp to get comfortable is not the smartest idea.

I remember before that game LSU was going to go 6-6 and lose to Miami 42-16.

I wasn't believer in O until we won in Auburn. But that run started it all. Everyone was so obsessed with the fact that we didn't have a returning RB with a TD.

Multiple friends and coworkers told me LSU was done and looking at 6 losses before the 2018 season. I’m so glad Ed got to shove it up everyone’s arse both last year and especially this year.
