We're not in uncharted waters here with a House defense giving up over 50 points. It happened in back to back weeks in 2016 when he was DC at Pitt, before he was fired after only two seasons.

If this coach is really the problem at LSU, how does a head coach who is being paid $10,000,000/year get someone of his ilk on the staff? Is this more of the hire your coaching buddies to pad their wealth dynamic that appears prevalent in college football? Would Saban have hired him?

He was good at Kentucky so he probably thought he’d be a good fit going into the SEC

Kelly tried to hire Brad White first but he chose to stay at Kentucky. I think he was the one that recommended House.
