That Dave Aranda becomes the DC again?

Thanks, I’ll hang up and listen.

Geez, we've only played 1 game. How about, Blake Baker is doing a fine job?

If I was Baker, I would stay as DC. He is at the top of his profession and highly respected as one of the best DC’s in America. He and Lane can build a monster at LSU. Unless he becomes a Kirby Smart type of head coach and gets a P5 job, his salary is as much if not more than he would get paid at some other small school.

He will take a HC job along the road. I think he will wait for the right P4 job to give him an offer. Pelini got Nebraska as DC here, Aranda got Baylor.

And hey who knows, maybe he'll be Chavis or Bud Foster and just be a career DC. Him passing up the Tulane HC job, his alma mater, to stay here as DC at least tells me he's not leaving unless the right HC job comes around. I think one day it will though. He's too good a football mind and eventually the right P4 school is going to offer him the moon and he won't be able to refuse. I just hope we can get him a ring before that happens.

I agree with this. Baker is not only a proven coordinator, he is also a very personable, and highly presentable, man. He should wait until Florida, Alabama, Georgia, Texas, or Ohio State come available. Or maybe even LSU if Kiffin Kiffins.

Aranda is so overrated by this board. I don’t want to go back to the non aggressive. Non blitzing. Bend don’t break defense. frick that.

There’s better DCs out there

Might be Clemson next year. Who knows. Will be a spot with resources to allow winning.

Agree, I’d start with Durkin at Auburn if the need arises.

I know that people inevitably want to climb the ladder and progress in their career but dang, if I was making 4 million to be a defensive coordinator on a perennial powerhouse national championship contender every year, I think I'd just stay and say the heck with " Moving on up to that delux apartment in the sky".

Its one game.Is it not possible to enjoy a few games before worrying about replacing a coordinator?

Everything ends eventually. Don’t forget to enjoy it while it lasts. I remember I’m 2019 thinking this would last forever. These are great times to be a tiger fan.

I’m with you. I’m not leaving a DC job to go be a HC somewhere small and make equivalent money for 3x the work.

Now, if a B1G or an SEC school asks me to be their HC and offers me a $60 Million guaranteed contract, I’ll take it. But I’m not leaving to go to a smaller school, end of story.

But that’s just me.

Ole Miss will probably fire Golding and throw the bank at Baker.

ENJOY the moment and the season

Both coordinators will be gone next year but Arranda isn’t coming back.
