I heard from a particularly loud mouthed superfan this weekend during tenn series that Larson is gone, per his mother. Apparently she’s a helicopter parent who hasn’t taken nicely to him not being a starter this year. Like I said, leather lungs said it, I’m just regurgitating it.

It’s open for 30 days for MS State players

Will be more interesting to see who and how many leave.

Too early for the large portal period. That will start after the season ends. There is a 30 day open window period for players that have had their HC quit or be fired.
Rest assured, since the roster is to be reduced to 34 it’s going to be an effort in austerity unlike any other.
Two way players will have an increased value. And unlike now many may have to hold more than one position.

Damn bro, we're trying to win enough to get a top 8 seed and you're asking about the portal!?

The roster reduction isn’t going through at least in its current form. The reason the House settlement isn’t settled yet is because the judge doesn’t like the roster restrictions.

Larson probably is gone
Curiel and Brown will be locks to start in outfield in 26
Stanfield not sure if he will get drafted high enough to leave

easy to see how they could be in this place; the guy played great at end of season and in cape (MVP) only to lose his spot...I get it.
Because I can say with certainty there is NO WHERE in the SEC that either PEARSON could be on a SEC field in front of Larson.

Larson was his team's MVP. Not of the entire league. That was Ethan Petry.
Still an honor but not quite the superlative some want it to be.

Missouri should be the only team interested in portal at this particular time.

I don’t understand this. Next year Pearson will be gone, possibly Stanfield and Frey as well.

Larson to Missouri
Not from an HBCU, so probably not a good fit
I could see him landing at Kansas with Dan Fitz, unless he takes the Miss. State job.. then I could see him going to State or any other SEC school. We need to make AL priority to retain

So you think its a given Larson would have been more productive than Pearson with same amount of at bats? Pearson is hitting right at .300 with 6 hrs. If he is an everyday starter he almost assuredly would have double digits homeruns at this point. I'm not sure Larson out performs those numbers

Hoping for a hot streak that starts soon and lasts all post season, just enough to keep him around.
