When Nuss was missing wide open wrs against tech, I knew we were fricked. I had no confidence running the ball, so if Nuss wasn't dialed in... we were screwed. This team was never going to be good on offense unless Nuss played like an all sec qb. Sadly he regressed from an average at best 2024 sec play.

knew for a fact that our offense sucked when Ole Miss’ mediocre DL completely abused us rushing 3.
This pounded it home.

I think the easy answer would be struggling when they struggled to sustain drives vs La Tech. But any team can have an off game.
When Ole Miss was daring us to run the ball and dropping 8 on 1st down - that’s when I knew we were fricked this year.
There was a lot of denial early in the season.
I came to the conclusion that Nuss' arm strength was significantly diminished after watching the SLU game. Up until then, I had allowed myself to ignore my eyes.
I started THIS thread. The Rant wasn't willing to accept yet as I was downvoted 93 times to only 21 upvotes.
Ole Miss was next. I had a pretty good feeling our passing game was going to be below average due to the OL and Nuss. But, up until that point, Ole Miss was horrible in run defense.
Once I realized we couldn't run the ball against Ole Miss, I knew we were fricked long term unless something drastically changed.

Clemson game but I ignored it thinking Clemson’s defense was really, really good.

Against Tech when Nuss couldn’t hit the deep pass on the sideline in the first quarter.

When LSU announced Nuss had an injury but nothing got better and in fact got worse.

Clemson game this year. Nuss should have come out looking more like Burrow (not saying same level, but closer to) and instead he came out looking like Jordan Jefferson. I could tell something didn’t click in the offseason. We were lucky to win the game and I’m glad we did but I predicted 8-4 or 9-3.

When I opened the paper on Wednesday, July 30, and saw that Kelly and Sloan were still on staff.

I have to think LK made a mental note of that oline play when OM beat us...to be recalled if he was ever at LSU. He hasn't wasted any time telling them all....less Moore, to take their skills elsewhere.

Tech was the first tell. No deep balls (except interception) and their middle linebacker sniffed out all of the gimmicky shite.
During 1st half of the OM game the announcers made a comment about LSU only throws to certain areas on the field; OM scouted this and that’s how they had DBs in place for the interception. That was pretty damn sad to hear.

When the Lions defensive end was in the backfield more than our running backs were. LSU's starting OL couldn't block him. I knew that would be an issue moving forward into the SEC stretch.

Clemson we sincerely didn’t look good but I chalked it up to being the first game of the year. The next game it was obvious. I forget who we were playing where our line was getting bullied by a nobody

Florida threw 5 interceptions and LSU finished with 20 points

I honestly just thought I was spoiled this whole time..

I noticed when we started pass blocking on run plays a couple of years ago.

Tech, then SeLa
Clemson game was tough, but we were on the road at a highly ranked team loaded with talent. At the time, I was actually pleased with what the offense did- they negated what was supposed to be a dominant defensive line.
When La Tech's defense played us like they were a solid SEC team, I was extremely worried. And when SELU, a nid-tier FCS team, was able to hold us to 135 yds rushing on 35 carries, I accepted we were in trouble if Nussmeier wasn't Heisman-worthy

1st half of the Clemson game you could see problems... it just became more and more apparent every week
