2018 GA game when he had just got knocked around and it was 4th and short. He ran to the line with a “f- you, I’m going to get this myself” look, didn’t even look at the sidelines and went for the first down. Showed me the dude has guts and a will to win.

For me it was the aTm game last year. He proved he was one tough MF but more than that it was his grit and determination to win. And in my mind he did. It was only the royal screw job by the refs that handed that game to the Aggies. I was a Burrow fan for life after that game.

. This for me too.

when UCF put a fricking cheap shot on him and popped up and drug his nuts on their program I knew this baw was ready to ride.
This is the correct answer...

Before he even came here. I knew he was real good when I saw who he played for and his position on that great team before his hand injury lost him the second string job. He was JT Barrett's backup in front of Dwayne Haskins for Ohio State...Think about that for a second. Then, he looked good in Spring games for OSU and I saw what he did in a spread offense in high school in a big time college state.

Texas for real.

Ohio guy I know came to my office right after his transfer. He was telling me how LSU was getting one of the greatest QB’s ever. I was happy hearing it, but I bought into it about as much as the Rant bought into buckeye jeaux’s prediction. I saw a few moments last year and figured he’d match Mett’s numbers and talent. After, the Bama game last year, I kind of lost faith.

Miami, when he changed the play on Brosette’s first touchdown. He had been in the offense for a month or two and I could tell he already had total command of the playbook.

I believe the mental/conceptual component, and being able to do it live, is the most important attribute to a quarterbacks success.

Lots of folks in this thread lying through their teeth. Anything before 1st game this year is complete bs.

Obviously, I didn’t know he was going to win the Heisman, however, it was quite clear to me that he was very special and was going to destroy defenses passing as soon as I saw his play in the first 2 games of the season. By the end of the Texas game it was obvious he was playing in a completely different offense. Anybody that says they saw the offense we see today coming is simply lying.

Was pretty sure we had a jewel during the Auburn game last year. Then the bowl game showed me his toughness. But the Texas game had me knowing there was something Extremely special about him. 3&17 convinced me!

I knew he had it in high school and was pretty upset we didn’t recruit him.

I’m lying. I didn’t even know Joe Burrow existed until I heard LSU was trying to sign him last summer.

i had high hopes from the beginning for him but really after the UCF game. To be able to take a cheap shot like that and come back and just ball out. Kid has moxie.
