Your program has been elevated.....
I love that people are complaining about where we are.
Light years from where we were.
But we also should keep striving for more. That's what championship programs do.
Here's a hypothetical: say a team starts the year 22-0, but then loses the next 8 in a row, with a couple of those being really bad losses. They finish the year 22-8, in the top 3 or 4 in their conference, and get into the Dance.
If you just look at the final numbers, you'd say yea, really good year. But you'd probably feel very disappointed with how they finished and how it was a lost opportunity for a really special year.
I'm not saying this is LSU, but it's somewhat similar, with an 8-0 SEC start and then dropping 5 of the next 7.
So while we can be happy with the overall record, we can also be disappointed with how the second half of the conference season went. Those two aren't mutually exclusive.

First time in over 30 years we’ve won 20 games in consecutive seasons
Coach Will Wade is doing pretty damn good I’d say

Would you rather win the SECT and get a banner while losing your first game of the tourney as a 6 seed, or win one game in the tourney and then get bounced?
Win an NCAAT game and make it to the round of 32. The banner would be for something meaningless.

He better because his game is not ready for the NBA especially his Defense

We did it in 2004-2005 and 2005-2006 as well as 1990-1991 through 1992-1993.

I think he was talking about during the regular season only.
2004 18-9
2005 19-8
2006 22-7

I don't think anyone is complaining about where the program is. The only justified "complaints" are that THIS team, while good, could be much much better if they played just a lick of defense. Add just 4 more wins to the resume (there are 4 games this season where they scored at least 80 and still lost) and this is a top 15 team and (likely) 4 seed (if not better) in the NCAAT.
Again, I guess it is a lost concept for most, but it is ENTIRELY possible to both be thrilled with the direction of the program AND a bit disappointed this team hasn't been a better than they have been.

Don’t let facts get in the way of a good story....

I just don’t think he is, but if his Dad said unless he’s a 1st rounder he stays then maybe he is. But teams in the NBA especially teams picking late are usually pretty good teams they will usually draft more on potential than need, he is 6’9ish and 19yrs old.

But how many times did LSU's basketball team not make the tournament?
Made it back to back once and 3 in 4 years 2003(one and done), 2005(one and done), and 2006 (FInal 4).
That was Brady, he went 4 times in the 9 years from 2000-2008. He also went in 2000 (Sweet 16). Trent Johnson went once in 4 years, 2009 (Round of 32). Johnny Jones went once in in 5 years, 2015 (One and done).
Wade, on the other hand, has gone once in two seasons, last year, with a sweet sixteen appearance and the highest seeding (3) we have had since the 1981 tournament in which we were a number 1 seed. And probably the first back to back tournament appearance since 2005 & 2006 tournaments.

LSU has won 20+ games and failed to win a game in the big dance 7 times this century.
Need a win in the tournament, or it’s the same old shite, except this time we are only so certain that it won’t be vacated.
John Brady never did this to LSU.
What in the actual frick are you talking about?
We went to the Sweet 16 just last year in Wade's second season. No matter what happens, it certainly won't he the "same old shite"

It doesn't work that way.
Some of your takes are decent but this one sucks arse.
Basketball has been shite the 10 years before Wade got here outside of a year or 2. It’s not like football where the program was still a regarded a top end program and still had elite recruits. Things had just gotten stale. Same can be said for Baseball if a new coach was to hypothetically take over next season. Good talent, considered great program, not having to start from scratch.
Wade didn’t have shite to work with when he got here. The improvement has been incredible. We lost out on at least 2 high 4, 5 stars when Joe suspended Wade last year. It wasn’t a good look for anyone involved but I’ll give Wade the benefit of the doubt.
Going into this season I thought this team would finish around .500 in league play because of not having a true point, a big like Bigby last season and no depth. They’ve already surpassed what I thought most expectations were. This team could fug around and end up making a Sweet 16- Elite 8 run or get bounced the first round because lack of depth.
They’ll finish fairly strong this season and Wade has an awesome recruiting class coming in. Next years team should be one of the better LSU teams the last 15 years.
I just really hope we as fans start filling the PMAC and the AD looks at a new building to play in. And I hope to God Wade coaches here the next 2 decades. Still a young dude.

Watford has been told by multiple scouts that he isnt ready for the pro game yet and would be very smart to return for another year. Right now he is an undrafted or late second round player at best. And thats being nice about it, but he has the natural ability to play his way into being a potential first rounder, and it's a longshot that he ever gets himself into lottery level status if he does get himself some more development..
He needs at least one more season of growth in the understanding basketball part of the game, kid has always had the natural talent. Which is why hes averaging 14 and 7 this season...But he could be a 20 and 10 guy next year with an offseason of work under his belt

Its been far from a bad season, its been a bit of a roller coaster but this is what its like being a consistent tourney team,
Agreed, the 8-0 SEC start skewed some things and the defense has been a big disappointment. But honestly if you'd asked me before the season and then again right before the start of SEC play where we'd be, this is about right where I thought we'd be.
I do think WW needs to look at his overall defensive philosophy and how he coaches defense and make some changes there. I believe that he will this off-season.
Outside of that I'm fine with the direction of the program. I thought this was a tournament team that could maybe win a game in the dance and I think that's probably what we're going to see. Anything else would be gravy.

The guy literally has no idea what he’s talking about. He makes up whatever he can think of the shite on Wade hoping nobody fact checks him.

I did not expect this team to have 20 wins before the start of the season and they do. They will make the tourney 2 years in a row. Thats awesome! You know what is even more awesome? We are going to have guys like Javonte, Days, Manning, Williams all return next season to go along with a top 10 recruiting class. This team is going to be really fricking good next season and hopefully everyone shuts the hell up about Wade being a bust lol
