He has not been right since he came back from the shoulder injury, so it’s likely that he rushed it a bit.

We are 6-0 in SEC games since he came back. Dugas will be fine. He hasn’t been 100%, but he still helps the team win.

It’s not “routine” to field a ground ball that bounces off of the outfield lip at the back of the dirt. Playing 20 feet into the outfield isn’t normal for an infielder. The timing of fielding the ball and making a throw to first is all out of whack.

He went something like 1-7 or 1-8. I think he had an RBI.

He is hitting well under .200 in league play. Something is definitely off with him. Gotta be either vision or lingering effects from the game jury.

Well, he has been blinking his eyes, so there’s that.

Seriously though, during the game yesterday they showed the the pre-injury and post-injury split and it was something like .340 and .125. I think that’s telling.

Tanks even took a minute to get going after his shoulder injury especially power wise. Dugas should be fine.

I have always wondered why he doesnt wear glasses at the plate, but then gets to first base and puts his glasses on.

Dude is in a slump. It’s been known to happen to guys coming off an injury. Pretty sure he will work his way out of it.

Still feeling the shoulder. Also made two very common errors this weekend. I think he should have been rested properly

At some point every game, he seems to be in the middle of a rally by drawing a walk or HBP.

His average started dropping before the injury. His overall numbers are where they are bec of our non-conf schedule. We badly need him on track but it's not just the injury. SEC play started before that obvi and his numbers started dropping as soon as we hit SEC games. If they don't turn around, there are better defensive options at 2B.

Baseball is 90% mental

He looks like depression has taken hold. End of a era for him and he's going out with a whimper.

Maybe he will go ala Morris and f$$@# stroke one to win it all.

To me, and I watch every pitch of every game, I think he's still compensating for the shoulder and figuring out what he can do and stay on the field. He's clearly taken a step back. BUT, I have seen him hit some absolute rockets that were foul balls. So I think he's comfortable in a certain pocket of his swing and if the pitch is in that zone. He also almost always has a great at-bat and is productive. I do think we need him. He had several clutch HRs and XBHs earlier in the year in games we don't win if he doesn't come through.

He may be still feeling the injury. But we’ve seen him a lot and he is streaky. Not as streaky as Jobert but not far behind. For now, it’s likely CJJ will remain patient.

Sports is all about rhythm, when he missed games due to injury it threw off his rhythm. He’ll get back.

Has anyone noticed that when he gets on base he immediately puts eye glasses on? Maybe he should put them on before batting ?
