An obvious insider. Our lucky day to get these tidbits.

Who isn't "holding him accountable?"

It's an imaginary concept

Was zErO vs Bama also an imaginary concept?

There are likely a dozen local reporters, radio, etc that follow LSU football. Ed hired a failed OC as OC under the guise of 'taking a lower salary to hire the best coordinators.' So when E proved all over again why he was a failed OC, where was the criticism or questioning (beyond tRant)?

It was a failed experiment and yet the Admin is willing to let it continue.

So where's was the accountability in either the Admin or the Press?

Just because we have a new AD doesn’t mean we need to fire Coach O. While many may not have agreed with the way he was hired, I think we can all agree he has LSU football on an upward trajectory. But now, because we have Woodward, a bunch of people are wanting O gone. Just illogical imo.

What upward trajectory?

SEC records under O:

2016 - 4 - 2 (0.667)
2017 - 6 - 2 (0.75) *5 of 6 SEC wings against teams that fired their coach.
2018 - 5 - 3 (0.625)

The only difference in 2018 vs 2017 is that he didn't the juggernaut that is Troy at home and instead beat a horrid Miami team in a neutral site game.

The fact that he lucked into a NY6 bowl, doesn't mean shite about upward trajectory:

LSU vs Bama under O:
2016 = 10 - 0
2017 = 24 - 10
2018 = 29 - 0

Margin of defeat has gotten worse each year despite playing 2 of those games at home.

post less clown

i have not seen a single poster say they want O gone RIGHT NOW. if he succeeds then LSU succeeds.

this is his year to get it done. or not. this is it.
we want him to get it done and bring home hardware. i believe some are saying his leash will be tighter moving forward if he cannot win hardware soon.

but please carry on with your narrative

Hanny's whole postgame show was yelling at fans to "get over it" because Alabama was the greatest team in the history of civilization. Really took the coaches to task there.

No, but Orgeron took a lot of public heat after the game.

Hell, he was considered on the hot seat prior to last seasons start.

The whole idea that he isn't being held accountable is a paranoid myth.

Not from my camp. I see a coach that's growing into the position and loading up. I like his willingness to change and he is shoring up areas where we needed bolstering.

He's not looking for the next gig, and appears to have reversed the negative trend that we saw out of our Tigers under the last couple of seasons under Coach Miles.

I wasn't a huge fan of the hire at the time but I was wrong. Coach O is a quality coach.

But it's not Coach O supporters starting threads about "O having a 2 year window" or O should lose his job if the team don't meet expectations. I'm sure O and Woodward already had conversations on what expectations are for the program.

Wow, I didn't realize anybody wanted O gone at this juncture. If LSU's offense becomes top-notch and O makes aggressive decisions late in games, 11 & 1 is possible. I assumed we were all on the same page in letting this thing play out.

Because a part of the LSU fan base believes that LSU always has the greatest talent and that its opposition apparently doesn't, so LSU should win every game and an NC. If LSU doesn't, it is failure.

Yeah, we love watching a 100 ranked offense with the defense expected to win games. Same shite, different year.

Idk about that.

It’s nice to have higher expectations.

This is a win/win for both sides.

And always remember that all coaches in the SEC - except Saban - are on a hot seat at all times. Well, maybe not at Vanderbilt, but the point is the huge $ makes for extremely high stakes.

I'm 100% in agreement with you, but I'll give it another season since Joe Brady was brought in.

Again, no one is saying to fire O right now. I've literally not seen anyone say this, albeit one or two may have and I missed it. The fact is most people are letting this season play out.

Everyone is acting like this team is world's better than last year despite what they lost. Time will tell.

They only really beat one legit team in UGA, and got embarrassed by Bama at home again.

People will keep glorifying the "Top 10" wins shite, ignoring the fact that Auburn and Miami turned out to be bad teams.

Everything is excused when it goes wrong for him and he gets glory when he wins, even if the teams that he beat are shite compared to their expectations.

MSU, Auburn, Miami, Arkansas, and Tennessee were awful awful teams compared to their expectations. UCF was literally missing the one player that made them a top 10 team when they played LSU.

He lost to a mediocre UF team and then lost to A&M (which fans need to accept and stop excusing). It never should've gotten to the OT point to begin with.

In the end, O will get this season. It's time for him to put up or get out.

LSU will have a tough schedule this year too:

UT in Austin is a much better team than Miami in a neutral site this year. UF will be better. Auburn should be better. A&M will be better.

I think if he goes 8-4 regular season with losses to Bama and UT with two losses out of UF, Auburn, A&M, it is realistic to happen. He should then be fired.

If he gets 10 wins or more in the regular season, then he gets one more year with light heat. If he goes 9-3 regular season, then he needs to be on the hot seat next year.

Nothing was lost on offense but a RB that isn’t the playmaker that his successors will be and a TE that’s good but isn’t irreplaceable.

With all that returns this year and the infusion of RB talent, the offense is expected to perform well. If they don’t, then you can talk about accountability.

If they don't, you can fully expect the usuals to blame anyone but Orgeron and Ensminger. The offensive line seems to be a popular scapegoat these days.

Nah, they’ll throw Ensminger under the bus and blame him before they let any blame reach O.

So nothing was lost on defense?
