That's the story. We don't need UAB caliber LBs

Lester, your point is idiotic. If CG leaving was partially due to fact that he sucked, and D. Voorhies did not leave, that implies that DV didn't suck as much as CG.

Your point rests on the obvious fallacy that either a player is good or bad depending on if he plays his first year or doesn't. Childish.

You should go back to your argument that Fournette is no better than Hill. I told you at the time that your position would seem very silly to everyone by the end of the year.

It's possible but you're also talking about a guy who just switched from safety to OLB so he's learning a new position entirely.

Garrett was brought in day 1 to be the backup to Beckwith and couldn't even beat out Feist who was so bad at MLB is running on offense with the FBs now...I dont even know if we have a backup MLB at this point.

I dont think either of them suck.

Garrett had held offers from Florida St and Auburn for a reason. ANd he played really good at AZ Western before he got hurt.

You missed the whole point, but im not shocked you couldnt comprehend what I was saying. You have the IQ of a potato.

Fournette is indeed better than Hill. He hadn't proven to be at that point in time, and i never once ruled that out.

I saw him play in high school and he was vastly overrated and I even wrote about it on the recruiting board, which they asked me to remove because it was about a month prior to signing day. I shouldn't have done that but I was VERY underwhelmed. Chavis was actually at the game I was at.

I wrote that day, in part, "What surprised me was I expect a guy like that to really pop out at me during warmups and while I obviously pretty quickly figured out which kid he was it wasn't immediate. If I was at the game and looking for an LSU caliber kid I would have never recommended him. However, I have seen him on film make some WOW plays."

Also, I'm not trying to brag on my personnel abilities as I thought Dwayne Schintzius was going to be a good NBA player. I just saw this one coming a mile away.

Just a freshman, man. Doesn't mean shite. A ton of Freshman take a while to gain traction. Doesn't mean he will always suck.

I think it's a pretty telling scenario when you're getting beat out by walk ons, leave, then the place you end up at is a school whose football program got axed and isn't coming back till 2017.

I mean, not sure how many more leading indicators you really need.

just curious, but based on what?

him leaving made our LB numbers even thinner. To the point where a guy like Voorhies was moved to LB. Did our coaches run him off? what do you know that we dont?

He left bc he didn't fit the bill, not bc he didn't like the scheme, coaches or team. He just wasn't as good as anticipated and that's okay. It happens.

How can the highschool recruiting world screw up the ratings of a player so bad?
Even 5* recruits need to put in work. *'s are often a measure of potential and physical build, not necessarily projected performance.
