LSU vs Florida 2007 from start to finish the noise never let up. My ears rang for a week. Those 4th down plays were electric

Also the See you later gators Kevin Faulk game was almost the same way. Just had more people in 07.

announcing the USC score for UF 2007

So, I tell this story here all the time - the crowd was rowdy outside. I have NEVER seen that many people on campus for any reason. I've never seen it where 10s of thousands of folks were on campus without tickets - to watch the game OUTSIDE the stadium.

And, because of the nature of the game, it was loud. We had good seats, in the bowl among the player's families. In fact, I sat directly behind T-Bob Hebert's mother and one of his little brothers.

It was as loud as I could remember it (and, somewhat coincidentally, my first LSU game had been the Florida game in Tiger Stadium right around 30 years prior to that night). I mean, on the successful fourth downs and most Florida offensive plays, I could feel a vibration in my feet and the noise was vibrating my eyeballs - it is the way I've heard players describe it as on the field in big games, so I can only imagine what it was like at field level that night.

Anyway, when the USC score was announced, everyone immediately knew that the winner of the game we were watching would be the #1 team the next day. And the sound - it wasn't as if we made that sound together, it was more like we had invoked it from some infernal plane.

I'll never forget it.

Every game mentioned so far was intense, no doubt.

And I've seen all of them except for '71 Notre Dame and '97 Florida.

The one that stands out, though, is USC in 1979.

The student section didn't have tickets in those days, and so people just kept crowding in until everyone had to stand sideways like a bunch of sardines.

My ears were still ringing 48 hours later.

I have been to all of them since 1966. Loudest moment - Earthquake Game. Loudest game - Florida 07. Loudest game we ever lost - USC 1979.

I will echo what many have said.

Loudest game from start to finish was UGA '03 for me.

Single moment was after they announced the USC score in 2007. Place went bananas.

Same game. Byrd's TD catch two weeks late is a close second.

That pass to Byrd was incredible. I was in New Orleans for a Saints game watching at a bar on Bourbon St. Right after the TD, some guy took his wife's bra off, tied it on his head and started dancing. Good Times.

Well not Florida, pretty Sure they were like #9 or #10 and already had a loss while we were undefeated

Yeah, you're right - they were #9 and had lost to Auburn the week before.

I guess I should say - we knew that, with a win, LSU would be #1.

Auburn 03 is forgotten about but it was deafeningly loud on that first series. Think there was a bit of a delay for rain so the game started later than normal. I think Lavalais had a big sack to end Auburn's first series and it just snowballed from there. Great environment.

Tubbs went for it on 4th down on our side of the field. Cadillac was STUFFED (likely Lavalais). They had Ronnie Brown as well and we were up 31-0 at start of the 4th Qtr. Then they brought in Brandon Jacobs against our 2nd team D.

2007 UF game was loud, but the 2015 fake field goal to go up against UF was pretty damn loud too, i was in the upper deck of the south endzone and my vision was rattling! Whenever Domingue came around the outside with nobody around just hearing the croud get louder the closer he got the the goalline was awesome.

Absolutely agree. Loudest I've ever head the stadium. Florida fans yelled as loud as LSU fans so stadium was 100% in.

Loudest sustained crowd noise was actually Florida 2009. I don't believe we scored a TD that came, so just never got to experience a full blown eruption from the crowd. I can remember just waiting for it to happen...for the stadium to just burst at the seams, and it never came. Very frustrating game.
Tebow coming out for his first possession backed up to the student section was frickin loud.

That game sucked so much arse though
