There are no divisions after this year. Georgia spent almost double LSU on recruiting. Georgia has far more financial resources than LSU. Athens is a very nice college town. Pretty close to Atlanta. Very big recruiting advantages

Georgia has been recruiting from coast to coast. They aren’t concentrating on just Ga. or southern talent.

LSU is not that far below Georgia in talent Obviously 20/21 recruiting hurt. Our offensive line every bit as good as Georgia. DL pretty big GAP. Defensive back and linebacker we trail as well.

Better talent and more depth of talent.

No joke. No clue how a total dipshit career high school football coach type of guy is putting together what he’s putting together at Georgia. He very much reminds me of a slower talking Jimbo Fisher

For LSU it will be QB play. They need to stack a few more recruiting classes to build the roster back to where it needs to be. But it is simple; QB play.

2019 told us that.

2023 is telling us that.

As highly ranked as Georgia and Bama have been, I am surprised that they seem to lack a lot if elite talent. Difference makers. Game breakers.

Georgia has Brock Bowers. Who else is elite?
Bama has who?

Much deeper pockets than we currently have. "Get Gordon" unfortunately won't be able to "get it done" Going to people with pockets like Todd Graves and Bernhardt to get involved to financially, to compete with UGA and TXs schools.

I have always told my Georgia neighbors that UGA was a sleeping giant. They finally got a decent coach right about the time it became legal to pay players. UGA has the money, the alumni, fan base, the recruiting base (tenn, fla, scarolina, states near by)....great party college town.

UGA simply pays the players more. Until LSU decides to open the check book, it will be as it is, with UGA on top. Players aren't going to schools for the "feels" and traditions anymore.

I guess it is working for him.

Recruit really good players that he then coaches up. What an idea.

If we backtrack to 2019, how many players did UGA have that would have gotten reps with us? Pickens and probably a few more.

So what's happened since '19? Answer: a lot.

COVID
Ed
Portal
NIL

We lost a lot of ground while UGA was steady on and has since won 2 natty's and is #1 currently.

More than anything it's piecing together consecutive great classes.

Was 2-0 vs UGA.

We were building something special until the damn China virus. In an alternate universe where it never hits, we’re the current dynasty.

UGA was asking themselves the same thing in 2019.

Was that before or after '19?

Ed deserved to be fired and left the program in shambles. What happened in BR in '20 and '21 was the polar opposite of what happened in Athens, GA.
