we won't go 6-6 , we will lose a close one to a very good clenson team because we have so many new peices and then we will go on a tear and the game against Bama will be for the west and we will make the playoff

The "west" that you refer to is a product of a bygone era of the SEC, there are no longer division in conference. 2 best conference records (Iinclusive of a tie-breaking process) make the SEC championship game

This moron can’t spell the word pieces. You think he’s aware that the divisions have been done away with?

The only way he gets on the hot seat after this year is if he commits a crime. There is no realistic football situation in which he is on the hot seat after this year. Sure, if we go winless then that would put him on the hot seat, but that is not realistic. If he finished the next two years at like 7-5, then his seat will get warm and they might start trying to figure a way out.

Realistically he'd need a blow out bad season to be on the hot seat. If he doesn't make the playoffs, it starts getting warm and uncomfortable.

8-4 is going to be incredibly uncomfortable. 9-3 and missing the playoff isnt going to win him any favor either. Hes not going to grt fired. The buyout is too much. But hes been given everything he needed. 4 years, NIL commitment was stepped up. 2 years in a row of missing a 12 team playoff is gonna be tough to defend.

It’s a good question. The contract is so massive that I really can’t see much of a warming seat for this guy. He could probably reel off a 7 & 5 and still not be in any real danger.

This right here. The buy out is astronomical.

I just can't see it happening. His buyout is $54 million dollars after this season. I don't think he'll be fired if we go 6-6. They'd fire Sloan and some assistants first, and maybe Woody would get pretty involved in the replacement hiring.

With the contract he has? He'd have to kill a grad assistant to get fired for cause. Anything short of that and he gets another year.

No playoff = hot seat
Plain and simple. No excuses this year.

If we lose against Clemson, I won’t panic unless the team comes out looking woefully unprepared and unconditioned. The biggest question mark left is BK’s coaching ability.

We go 8-4 with this team this year and he's going to have the hottest seat in the country to start next year.

We aren't paying him $10M/yr to lose 4 games every year.

He hasn't gone 8-4 in ANY year at LSU and won't this year.

That is why places like LSU and other schools with realistic high expectations should have provisions in their contract that reduces the buyout when a coach has a year where they go 8-4. You lose 4 games, 1 year comes off remaining contract.

Good luck getting even a marginally elite coach with contractual language like that when the current market calls for 10-year, 10 figure contracts that are nearly fully guaranteed.
