What will the most common excuses be after we beat OM on Saturday?

“LSU spent $50m (keeps going up) on its roster, they should have won!”

“LSU doesn’t win if it didn’t TAMPER and take 3 of our best players. Had to win with OM players. Pete has the receipts!”

You know there will be no contrition. I actually think some of the excuses will be things we haven’t thought of, some real creative stuff. What you got?

They should have scheduled us for the 230 matchup. LSU always gets the 630 game!!!!!

Finebaum adds 5 mil every Get Up appearance. In the offseason it was 40, week 1 it was 50, and this morning it was 55.

I really don’t either, but it will be entertaining to watch them continue the mental gymnastics more than anything. The “we’re better off with Pete”, “Lane only won after Pete became DC”, etc, etc, is delusional, and it’s going to be glorious watching the wailing and gnashing of teeth when an actual football game destroys the narrative and reminds them their trajectory peaked in 2025.

I’m thinking the excuse about spending 50 million on nil transfers will be number one if we win.

If wanting to be entertained watching them become emotional wrecks is caring then, yes, I care. I will revel in being able to sit back and enjoy the meltdown.

They also think Lane somehow sucks now after turning their shite program around momentarily.

Excuses will be plenty. But then when Florida beats them, and later Texas and OU, they will turn on the man who took the reins from the evil one. And they’ll lose again and not make the playoffs. And then they’ll go after another coach and make another mistake just as they did when they let Cutcliffe go. They don’t have the stamina to stay a top forever and that’s what they’ll never understand. Mississippi State, their equal, accepts it. They were looking like title contenders in ‘14. And now they’re State again. The same will happen for Ole Miss. They aren’t LSU or Georgia or Texas or Alabama or even Oklahoma and they’ll always be oblivious as to why.

I actually think, with the still open lawsuit, the SEC may officiate fairly (though still incompetently). SEC can’t have it look like collusion and instructing refs to rig games.

I expect LSU to have more penalties called on them than Ole Miss and I expect a lot of no calls. Our edge rushers will be damn near getting tackled with no flags thrown and our WR’s will be interfered with on the regular with no flags. Don’t be surprised to see a touchdown called back either and bullshite penalties on critical plays that will kill drives and momentum. Book it

It sucks!
