What will the media narrative be if we win in Oxford?

Not saying we will or won't, just curious how the media will treat a win - any win - by LSU on Saturday.

On the surface, you have a completely new-look LSU team playing a top-10 matchup game against a frothy rival in their house. A win should resound pretty positively in the media, all other things being equal.

I don't have confidence in that, though. I really, truly hope we win and think we have a better than even chance of pulling a victory out of Oxford.

I'm just curious how the talking heads will play that news if it happens.

Thoughts?

Pawl or Delinger will make up a story about how the LSU team bus purposely hit a dog on the way back to the airport

If LSU wins Saturday night, without a doubt LSU will be mentioned in CFP/Natty talks. Also, the size of Kiffin's balls will be mentioned.

Pawwwwl will crawfish as usual, say how impressed he is with this team, then spend the rest of the week explaining how TAMU has a great shot at upsetting LSU next weekend

It’ll be the same narrative that some dumbass LSU fans on here will say.. “ Ahh Ole Miss was just overrated!!! Apparently they just suck! Wait until LSU plays A&M!! That’ll be the test!”

The narrative will be that LSU is back among the elite teams in college football and that Ole Miss is returning back to mediocracy.

Basically that Ole Miss was a stepping stone for Lane Train and that LSU is the natural progression for a coach like that. So basically despite all the hate and shite talk we won at the end of the day and Ole Piss will end up salty and dejected because they lost the Game.

Regardless of what they say publicly, I have no doubt that the higher-ups at ESPN hope LSU win. Each win makes the LSU/Kiffin story bigger and pure gold from the content standpoint. It would be bigger than how they gushed for Indiana last year.

Honestly this is the most likely scenario. Not sure why people like the OP are wanting to think any different.

The narrative will be that everyone knew Ole Miss wouldn't be as good this year and this outcome was pretty much what everyone expected. This will be the narrative with any big LSU win this year. LSU/Kiffin won't receive much credit from the usual blowhards.

Some of you spend far too much time perseverating on what the media may or may not say about LSU.

Who cares what they? Just keep winning

They'll complain about us "recruiting NFL players" while playing a 24 year old in his 6th year making 7 figures

Or at least "LSU bought their way to success", which of course is disingenuous because everyone else is trying to do the same thing.
