The DL recruiting has been very underwhelming. We can’t keep a DL coach to develop relationships with prospects. The portal will be heavy on DL after this season.

We have 15 players on the roster as DE, DT and DL, only one is a Sr. How many you think we need?

Jefferson is a portal DT and will play a lot and be pretty good FSU's starting DT is a transfer both of USC's are transfers

Not going to lie really been disappointed in the recruiting on the DL especially DT. LSU now having trouble keeping top ones from state thanks to NIL. UGA, BAMA,OH ST never seem to have this issue but top DT play has not been a strong point at LSU for quite a long time. Just feel constantly going to portal is not the answer.

LSU football is going to be a 3-4 year rebuilding process. We will be a solid team lacking pieces programs with 7 years on us building rosters have. But we’ll still melt and cry while Brian Kelly continues to build lsu back to a powerhouse

There'd be far less bitching I'll tell you that. Elite recruiting and championships tend to help with that. Only they could lose perhaps the best DT on the field in last years title game to the portal and not blink an eye. Meanwhile we desperately take on guys like Jefferson and Shand. We joke yet we envy
