What kind of legacy can we expect from Coach O a decade from now, as a coach, and as a man?

Considering he’s already lied to the fan base about hiring the best coordinators in the county, only to promote within. Also telling the fan base “we’re close” after losing to Bama by 10 in 2016, only to lose by 14 in 2017 and follow it up with “we’re coming”. I would say he’s legacy as a man isn’t starting off on the right foot. Maybe he’ll change, but we’ve heard that before.
As a coach, I would imagine he’s an average coach with a couple mediocre bowl appearances.
I really don’t see how he's all of a sudden become a premier coach. He hasn’t proved that he’s capable of competing for championships at any school.
Not sure where people get he’s going to be this great coach now.
It’s funny how for years people here would talk about keeping that guy away from our program, now we have to listen to these new comers tell us how we’re the stupid ones.

Actually, this is more properly directed at the O sycophants like you. We have evidence on which to base our assessment. What's yours? Hope and prayer? Great.

Honestly? His hiring ruined the program. That is his legacy. The damage done from this continuously evolving disaster will take decades to undo.

Everybody wants to speculate on whether Da CoachO can achieve ten or more wins a year and return LSU to the national elite.

Spoiler alert!

He can't.

Wut?

So 20 years?

It wouldn’t take 3 years with the right coach.

I think he will be remembered only as the coach that couldn't put LSU back together again.

He won't be the worst coach. But he sure won't be the one to return them to glory either.

If I had to guess, he was the guy that got Alleva fired

I don’t think he’ll have any legacy. There won’t be anything special about his tenure to make it memorable either bad or good, although he will go down as a bad coaching hire that will get the AD fired. That’s about as much as he’ll be known for

You can put me in this camp. Whether he burns bridges or not on his way out will determine how he's viewed as a person.

I think it’s too soon to tell but it doesn’t bode well for O’s legacy so far. I don’t hate the man like some do on here and I hope he can somehow prove everyone wrong for the sake of the program but I just don’t see this ending well. I don’t think he’ll be Hallman bad in terms of legacy, I could see O being in the DiNardo category

Hell no. It went to shite but Gerry won 10 games back when that meant something. If just for a little bit, Gerry brought the magic back. Ed ain't doing that.

Wow. Your feelings must really have been hurt. It's funny, because so many of you O sycophants accuse some of us of being miserable, but the most hostility I've seen comes from your side.

Depends if we get rid of him within 2 years it will be thank God we got away when we did.

If we give him 4 years we will forget Curley Hallman

Coach O’s legacy

The coach that got LSU the death penalty from the NCAA because once things got tough and he realized he was in over his head he just started paying the frick out of players in desperation to save the last chance he would ever get to be a HC.

Also, just to spite the school and fanbase because he is a dirty cancer that no one wanted around the program for years.

Instead of accepting that the job is too big for him and going out with class and dignity like some other coaches we know, he will go full Rosy Finch Boyz and burn the place down on his way out.

This has always been my biggest fear about this hire, and that’s saying quite a lot because there are lots to choose from.
