and the Bama obsession continues....

They werent on my mind. This began because of a topic an Auburn fan started pointing out Alabama fans hypocrisy in claiming that LSU fans whine about the refs too much when Alabama fans do it just as much.

I made a comment on this topic and a bunch of Gumps got that red arse and came after me. A couple were acting really childish so in order to prove my point I did a little searching and some numbers and spelled it out plain as day for them.

Of course, they had no answers. Its not a "Bama obsession". If you let others control the narrative when you want a change then nothing will ever change. You have to put people in power under a microscope and call them out on their bullshite. The good ole boy Gump Alumni Club at the SECHQ has to feel the negative PR. Auburn fans tell me they have been complaining about this for years, well Im an LSU fan and we should join them because Im convinced there is either an explicit or at the very least, an implicit bias at SECHQ.

Look what just happened with the UT coaching search. The fans were pissed with the potential hire and took action. It might blow up in their faces but they still put their money where their mouth is. I think I just read that the AD is putting new TVs in Tiger Stadium. This coincided with several topics and posts over the last couple weeks of people bitching about the concessions and TVs in TS and threatening a boycott of shitty Aramark. Coaches turn in complaints about officiating nearly every game. They do it for the same reasons. To apply pressure.

To be completely fair, Birmingham is a really nice town. Had a buddy go to college out there.

You're numbers are flawed. Bama graduates naturally will make up a disproportionate amount just because of the SEC office location. This has been brought up to you by multiple posters, but you don't seem to get it.

I'm not much into this conspiracy theory. I like to see proof. Give me specifics on how the SEC office has a bias towards Alabama. Not a bias towards the best team in the SEC at the time, because for the good of the conference they should push the best team in the conference over the best teams in other conferences.

Ok now do one of every other conference and see if the city/state it’s located in has a larger number of graduates from the nearest university.
Then do another analysis of businesses operating similar size offices and see what the percent of employees are from the closest universities.
Correlation =/= Causation

Second off, all you idiots trying to blame our losses or Alabama's dominance on the SEC offices being in Bama and them having a hire number of Bama graduates working with them, is just fricking stupid. It's an embarrassment to everyone that plays sports or coaches.

We get our arse whipped and it's not because of some bias. It's because we've sucked arse the last 7 meetings with them.

You idiots are worse than the democrats going after Trump for collusion with the Russians.

As has been mentioned...

In reference to Auburn grads.

Credit goes to ibleedprplngld...

Your logic is sound. Problem is, there are two state schools in Alabama. One of which makes up a much larger percentage of the graduates in the HQ office. If your logic held true, there would be closer to an equal amount of representation from both schools.

First off, who gives a shite about a missing apostrophe? Did you understand the meaning of the word? Then, linguistic mission accomplished.

Second off, I didnt blame LSU losses directly on this. You're(look, I added your apostrophe!) the one making that leap.

You shouldnt be embarrassed for questioning the integrity of a multi-billion dollar public operation that should have public oversight.

Just out of curiosity because I hate to get in the way of a good conspiracy theory. Where did the info come from? You original post reads like some message board posters gave you information about employees.

SEC Office Staff Directory

The alumnus information came from random sources with their bios. Mostly articles announcing their hiring that were sourced from official SEC statements/releases.

Unfortunately, the alma mater could only be obtained from roughly half of the 47 employees listed. The numbers were originally 9 UofA grads out of ~23.5 staff members. I extrapolated the remaining 23.5 so there is going to be some margin of error but even with that considered the numbers are still fairly damning.

I think its mostly senior staff. There are some listed as "Assistant Commissioner" and the like. I think those are department heads.

Check it out from the LINK I posted. Its not a long list.

It would be really awesome if yall would take the time to read through the entire topic. Everything that has been posted after my first couple of posts has been addressed.

I didnt initiate this. I was pushed into it by some particularly obstinate Gumps who were attempting to troll me. I think it backfired in that trolling doesnt frustrate me, I actually rather enjoy the banter. What it did was get me curious enough to do a little digging into my suspicions which I dont normally do because Ive done it so many times in the past that Im confident now that my gut feelings are usually right enough for me not to waste my time.
