SEC Fricked! That’s what I heard....
Sounded like a Saban type that wasn’t scared of the expectations...... Dudes a BOSS. I like it

The way he articulates hitting approach makes it hard not to get excited. That’s something I always thought was lacking under Mainieri and should make for an exciting brand of baseball.

Love Bertman but come on already

Extremely intense. He set a very high bar for himself and the program, but came across as a guy that will back it up. I’m excited for the future.

He nailed that press conference. I thought it was a good hire but listening to him, I'm pumped.

I like that he’s not a corny rah rah guy. Seems really sharp and I think he will do great here

We will play a new brand of baseball. Smart at the plate and on the base paths with a hard nosed attitude in the field.
The key to his success is still hiring a top notch pitching coach….

I kinda felt bad for Paul the way he kept saying “expand the program” while constantly trying to praise Paul in the same breath as Skip.......
This guy woulda won us the Ship in 2017

I felt better about the hire. He seems very process oriented and like a stable personality. I am ready for intentional baseball and not hunches.

Dlab2013- He sounded like a Saban type to me also. I can hardly wait for the season to begin. Geaux JJ

He seems like a real hardass and expects maximum effort and will accept nothing less…which is good imo

I was disappointed that he wears his cap with a straight bill.

I was impressed. No nonsense & knows exactly what he’s getting into as far as program expectations. My take basically is mediocrity will not be tolerated.

I thought it was great low key guy ready to work but like he said once on the field he flips a switch and is intense. I didn’t know LSU had 26 baseball coaches thought skip was the first

Buddy of mine played for JJ. He thinks the hire is dead on. Very good, very polished and we’ll be winning championships…..he thinks in the next couple years.
