2018 solid victory over Georgia was beautiful and unexpected. If expectations don’t factor in it will be hard to find a game that compares to the semi-final annihilation of the Sooners.

1995 LSU v. Arkansas

Arkansas having already clinched the West and was ranked 14th in the nation came into Baton Rouge for the season finale. LSU was 5-4-1 on the season needed a win to clinch a bowl berth for the first time 7 years.

Held Arkansas to less than 150 yards total offense and led 28-0 at the half.

While some younger fans don't understand, it was a huge deal to break that bowl drought, even if it was the Independence Bowl.

We were in DV for that one. Wow. Burrow ran and passed the 5th ranked Dawgs dizzy. Wasn't even close.

Still makes me sick we didn’t play ok state in 2011 and have 4 national titles since 2003.

That year could have been the greatest season ever until 2019

Kentucky 2006
49-0

Us coming off the Florida loss (Tebow jump pass ), they were in their first winning season under Rich Brooks.

And we just flat out annihilated them.

It turns out by the end of the season we needed that game too. VT lost to BC in the regular season (Matt Ryan heroics) but avenged it in the ACC CG to finish 11-2. If they don't play LSU and play some other team instead they might finish 12-1 and they get to the natty over LSU. But LSU finishing with the same record and obliterating them head to head made sure we got in over them.

That game and Ohio State beating Big 12 champ Oklahoma in 2016 to get them in the playoffs over Penn State who beat them and won the Big 10 is why I scoff at people that suggest there's no benefit from scheduling good teams OOC.

Ole Miss 1970

61-17

Archie was all the talk and the Tigers blew them out. Saw Art Cantrelle throw a damn fit because he didn't score a TD on a punt return. I became a die hard fan that night.

And it was on network TV. That was extremely rare back in the day.

I thought we had a fantastic game against Clemson. They couldn’t do anything against LSU defense, and offense kept rolling, not trying to embarrass Clemson.

I wouldn’t be surprised if we did this to florida state.
