In hindsight even if we loss we would’ve still gone to the nc

with the playoffs yeah we’d easily still have made it if we went 12-1 with the only loss to Texas

But there’s no guarantee we would have gone 12-1 if we had lost to Texas

I wasn't all that worried. Just a little. I didn't think we'd get 3rd and 17. I was expecting to get 12 to 14, and then finish it off on 4th and 3 to 5. We had balls on offense. It was great to see.

I was at the game with my dad and brother. I wasn’t nervous, I was thinking this is the big moment you play for, and if we are going to be the best, these are the moments you live up to and deliver. And our big Joe to JJ2 delivered. What a special season to finally watch an LSU team deliver time and time again.

I remember thinking...I don’t think there is a 3rd and 17 play in the play book. Glad Coach O did.

I don’t know about all that and neither do you. Those are the kinda games that gets a team Mojo going and if we lost who knows.

sitting in a sea of orange my exact thoughts were if we don’t get this we might lose this game

We were ahead at the time. I will always have faith in our defense to hold the lead. So I wasn't overly concerned at the time. What worried me more was that after the defense did not hold them, was the onside kick.

I live in the ATX area too, and I would not have wanted to live in the ATX area any more had the outcome been any different given my blow-hard Horn coworkers.

When we marched right down the field and scored before halftime I remember walking around the concourse seeing other LSU fans and we all had this “Holy shite is this really LSU?” look on our faces

Honestly, that is when I knew joe was special special special.
He stepped up INTO a hit, but his release was quick enough with accuracy to avoid long enough to throw. He stepped in front of an oncoming train knowing Jeff would be where hes supposed to be.

The thought process even trying to type this out is overwhelming, yet he did it in nanoseconds.

The best college player, combing cerebral and physical combination, in the history of the game, IMO. Prove me wrong.

My dad said why are they throwing and I said to win the game. All year they went at teams vs trying to rim down the clock and hold on to win. A new era indeed.

Said if we didn’t convert we were going to lose. The defense was gassed.

Yeah they were definitely not the healthy defense that we had the last 4-5 games of the season that’s for sure .

I just rewatched the game. When that drive started I was thinking “just keep making first down”. Before the third down pass we threw incomplete and then had that sack on second. I’m still thinking first downs and knifing this will take a huge play to gain 17 yards.

When I saw Jefferson catch the pass past the first down like I exhaled. Then, I suddenly realized that he was still running. The TD was totally unexpected

Remember thinking my UT buddy sitting next to me would never let me forget how LSU blew a big lead & lost.

He was already sick of sitting among a pocket of Tiger fans in the home side upper deck & that play totally deflated him.

Aranda’s “sit back and let the offense dictate to you “ defense sucks. We have to continue this drive—or lose.

Please get a first down! Don’t run a draw!

And the worst part was leaving the stadium and an older LSU fan (look to be in his 70s) killed my buzz when I exclaimed, “Go Tigahs....can you believe that?”....with the following retort...”We didn’t run enough...can’t keep winning with all that passing!”

Wtf?!?

OMG he’s gonna get sacked. We just lost

OMG he got a FIRST DOWN!

OH MY GOD! WE JUST WON THE GAME!!!!!

Yelling so loud and constantly, I lost my breath. Greatest feeling a fan can have!!
