Just checked out Brody Wofford's stats this season..... he hit .200 at UCF
I was sad to see him go last year as I thought he could help us this year. Man was I wrong.

Matt Vierling from Notre Dame just got draft by the Phillies.
He hit a HR against us. HIs brother plays for Mizzou.

That's the wildcard. Eventually, he has to face reality because he will either get drafted and take money way under what he wants or he's going to come back and be a closer. I can't see PM giving him another starting spot. This year was an easy decision with all of the injuries and Gilbert's falloff. Next year, we will be good enough to make a run and PM isn't going to waste time letting him struggle through starts again.
The bullpen would be unbelievable next year if we can have Hess return to his closer form, Gilbert gets healthy and confident, Bush stays hot, and Peterson keeps putting it together.

he was the most prone on the team to shoving his head up his arse.
And on this year's team, that was quite an accomplishment.
That's signature quote material!

But that was for a really "bad" NJCAA school in Florida.
ETA: he also lead the team in Ks.

I understand that, but pro teams also don't want LF's without any power.
shite yea, im not railing on him. Love him as a player. Hate to even talk bad about him, i just don't think he has the brightest pro future. Guys with more promise like Blake Dean and Jared Poche have made their way back to campus for a 4th year

He's about as consistent a player as we've had here.

I'm starting to think Bush takes the Bugg, Norman route.

But he's mentally weak. He quit at the sight of Feduccia and Braden Doughty.

quote:Whoa with that one. Dean didn't have a position or a functioning shoulder after his Junior year. He only came back to play 1B and prove he had a position and an arm. The irony of which is that Smoke brought him in as a pitcher.
Guys with more promise like Blake Dean
ETA: He had to have the rotator surgery after the championship.

From what I hear, he wants to make a career in baseball (not necessarily playing). If that's the case, he'll likely take whatever money he can get this year, play a couple years in the minors, come back and finish school and possibly take a position as a GA, and then look for a position coaching somewhere.

So still no players or commits outside of Turang off of the board?

Good kid. I think he'd eventually regret passing up a 4th year to lead this program.
Duplantis also has a shot at the LSU hit record if he comes back

Here's where I'm coming from. I think he is better at about everything than Mark Laird was and Laird was drafted in the 9th round. Only area Laird may have had a slight edge was speed but it wasn't dramatically better.

Not yet, but you probably just jinxed it.

I think he needs 85 more to pass Eddy.
Posted on 6/5/18 at 1:38 pm to ProjectP2294
I think it’s 86 hits...85-86 close enough
