What Tiger player, if an All American, would be the key to LSU winning the Natty?

Due to how many very close games I think we are going to play, I think our PK, whoever it is, might have to be that player?

People are retarded…

If Sam Leavitt turns out to be a 1st team AA this year.

We win the natty

I would bet any amount in that, if LSU’s QB is a 1st team AA it means they won the natty with the defense and weapons around them.

If he is a 3rd team AA we likely made the semis

So, as I take the question- if we win the national title, who would likely be All American and a key to the success...

I don't think it would be the placekicker. Especially not under Kiffin's style of play. All American kicker is likely going to be someone who can routinely make 50+ yd kicks, and challenge for a 60 yd kick, and I just don't think Kiffin takes many of those.

Offense would have to run smooth and strong, so I'd expect a lineman (so, Seaton), and possibly the QB- but Kiffin's QBs are normally considered system guys so he may not get AA. Might not even be Leavitt, for all we know.
Defense would be strong too, so I'd guess Pickett and maybe Benefield in secondary, one of the linebackers (Weeks maybe), and a lineman. Assume last year's defense, but without giving up the big plays.

Kicker may well come up big in the playoffs, but the AA team is picked by then.

This would be the first question on Who Wants to be a Millionaire and the answer would be obvious, e.g:

A. Waterboy B. Cheerleader

C. Quarterback C. Drum Major

QB1, that means he is lighting it up and we are winning games.

Alway the qb. Without a heisman type year for a qb, the chances of winning a natty is slim. Everything revolves around qb play imho

The long snapper. Think Reid Ferguson on steroids.
