You say:

Miles
Orgeron
Kelly
Saban
in that order.
quote:I am going to assume that you mis-ordered your list, and you meant to say that your ranking would be:
Miles inherited a roster that was going to win a championship at some point.
O inherited a very good roster that needed a QB and a decent Coordinator.
Saban inherited some
decent pieces
Kelly inherited less than half a roster.

Kelly inherited the worst team.
Kelly inherited good talent but brought in the worst assistant coaches since
Woody hired Pelini.
How many Defensive players did Kelly inherent that are now in the NFL?
Offensive players.?
Bringing back the Orgeron staff may save us.
Listening to the fans, its amazing how much better the Orgeron staff has become the second time around.

Kelly inherited much more talent . Kelly has done way less with way more talent than Saban in his first 3 seasons
This part of your post is laughable. Kelly inherited a roster with less than 50 players and a WR who was starting at QB in the bowl game. Orgeron could have set this program back for decades had Kelly not come in with a plan and the leadership in place to allow him to execute.
We’d be worse than Florida right now.

Kelly inherited a disaster
Disaster is probably a bit overboard, but it wasn't great. However, he also had something the other coaches didn't. The ability to immediately plug holes with immediately eligible transfers

If you go further back I'd say Mike Archer inherited a stacked lineup from Bill Arnsparger.

Saban inherited a better roster than Kelly IMO
Roster? Sure. But Kelly inherited a much better brand, and that's more important than the roster.

it’s remarkable how in 2 short years, Orgeron nearly destroyed LSU for a decade +
A decade+??
Good lord some of yall are so dramatic. We had two horrible seasons then made the SECCG in 2023 then won ten games the following year

1.) Miles
2.) Orgeron
3.) Kelly
4.) Saban
In terms of quality of team inherited

How is this even a question??

I’ll add that Saban took over a better roster than people think.
He turned them into monsters but several key pieces were there.
Kelly took over a worse situation that a lot of people want to admit.
It’s quite impressive how fast O sunk the ship after 19

Absolutely not . Recruiting rankings have changed in the time between the two , but you can look up the rankings and overall team star totals and Kelly inherited much more talent . Kelly has done way less with way more talent than Saban in his first 3 seasons
This among the most unbelievably stupid posts ever on this board. And that’s quite a feat
Kelly inherited a roster with what 35 scholarship players. Several of which weren’t that good.
It’s fine if you don’t like BK, but get out of here with this nonsense

Let’s win an SEC or national championship with Kelly before he ranks above anyone who has
That has nothing to do with the question the OP asked.

Disaster is exactly what it was. Hell disaster may be a compliment.
35 scholarship players when he was hired and no QB.
Time will tell on how good he will really be here, but the fact that he was able to turn the roster he inherited into SECw champs in year one is nothing short of amazing.
Even people who don’t like him should be honest enough to admit that much.

The dropoff was evident in Miles very first game

Roster absolutely. If it wasnt the LSU brand it would have been a long rebuild.

Uh, pal, that is because Kelly is such a good coach, and was able to hit on a lot of transfers right away in the new age of NIL and player movement.
Had we kept O another year or two, I promise you, the effects would have been catastrophic. Nothing dramatic about speaking the truth.

Yep Miles easily. He inherited Saban’s team. But he constructed 2011. It’s a shame how that year ended up. His hubris
