we just went for the throat against everybody else in the country.
I believed at the time (and now know for real) that the offense was legit 15 times last season. We went for the jugular every single game.

Even though the opponent wasn’t great, for me it was Vanderbilt. A morning kickoff on the road where we historically might have been a little sluggish and we were unstoppable. Not only did we score relentlessly; but most of those drives took less than 2 mins. It was so refreshing to witness

The back shoulder TD over the middle to Jefferson before the half vs Texas.

Opening drive vs Bama. It doesn’t count until you can skull frick a Saban team.

I'd like to say 3rd and 17, but being honest I thought that was more about Texas' defense (with some luck) than our offense. I suspected but didn't believe yet.

That changed during the Vanderbilt game. Yeah I know it's Vandy but 66 points after Vandy only gave up 30 to Georgia? That's when I really started to believe.

Then came Florida and I was in 100%.

Geaux Tigers.

Georgia Southern. I thought at the time it was the best all around offense since Saban

Every single LSU coaching staff in the history of the program would have run a draw/screen, punted, and lost.

Final drive of the 1st half against Texas. Think it was 3 or 4 plays, TD.

3rd and 17 showed me we had massive cojones and were extremely confident in our abilities as an offense. It’s hard to believe what we witnessed this year from an LSU offense.

My favorite play of the season hands down.

I think the obvious answer to the OP can only be 3rd and 17.

We were up a score but our defense was not holding, and we needed a dagger. Previous iterations of this team either club completely and lose in the last minute or grind out a nail biter and question the coaching after.

Instead, the team threw their nuts up on the table and, lo and behold, had the bigger set every time they stepped on the field thereafter.

That was an elite, high level NFL type play.
When we hit that, I knew no one could stop this team if they were “on.”

When we didn't go conservative in the Texas game I said Joe has the weapons its up to him. He was up to the task to say the least.

When we were on? This offense had no off switch.

Think back to what we did to Oklahoma. This was the college football playoffs and the game was in the bag before half time. We played our back up QB in the CFB playoffs.

Then Clemson rolls in and they played a little field position game. People got a little worried when we got stopped early, but look at where those drives started from. There isn't any offense, against a good defense, that can consistently get out of being pinned that deep. As soon as the offense had a little room it was pedal to the metal, and Clemson got their shite pushed in as well. College football might not ever see a better offense than we witnessed last season. Maybe some will put up "better" numbers, but they won't run the gauntlet like this team did.

3rd and 17 was when I first thought we have something pretty special going on here.

The Oklahoma game in its entirety is where I first thought this could be the greatest team of all time.

I knew we were going to have a good offense in 2019 when I watched Burrow torch UCF in the Fiesta Bowl. He made some beautiful passes in that game. I finished that game knowing that with an entire off-season of work they would be good - LSU finally found a quarterback.

A&M game in overtime the year before. Couldnt believe all the folks in here preseason 2019 that believed Burrow was not a very good QB, a game manager at best.
