What moment did you really believe the 2019 offense was legit?

We saw so many years of terrible offense it took me a while to buy in. I remember the Texas game and we were going score for score...I told myself, “there’s no way we can keep up with this”.

It wasn’t until the Bama game that I was convinced nobody can stop us...ever. Just so hard to believe the flip in philosophy.

Early in the 1st half vs Georgia southern we scored on a tunnel screen to Marshall. I knew then we where going to start getting creative with how we attack and not just try to pound it up the middle

Georgia southern because it was the first game in a while LSU really boatraced a team it was supposed to start to finish in a while

Offensively ga southern
Watching the precision in that game showed it was going to be a new offense
My concern about season was the injuries on defense but once they got healthy I knew LSU would outscore everyone left on the schedule

Exactly. I said specifically when that drive started, "this is where we find out if this is a new LSU offense. If we try to run clock and hope the defense holds, it's the same. If we go for the throat, this is real." It was about as real as it gets, and we just went for the throat against everybody else in the country.

UF game at home. We never blinked. I was at the game with my son and cousins. Watching our OFF get key 1st downs and scores to comeback, and keep the lead was impressive against a very good DEF. The OFF showed grit vs a physical opponent. That game told me we were for real on OFF and could put up points vs anyone in the SEC.

January 29, 2019 — Day after the Joe Brady Hire when learning we would open up the passing game using a Sean Payton Hybrid PASSING ATTACK

34% passing Team — 60% passing Team

I questioned how quickly the transition would happen but Spring Ball showed me we could do it very quickly!

When Joe came out of 7 on 7s and warned everyone we’d start scoring close to 50, I knew the SEC wasn’t ready for us.

Listen up I’ll say it only once!

THE TRANSITION (34% - 60% passing) IS NOT YET COMPLETE

LSU averaged 54% passing in 2019 and went easy (back to the run) on a lot of teams to:

1. Show Vanilla
2. Burn clock and not run up scores

Clemson was BLOWN AWAY with 64% PASSING

THE 2020 TEMPLATE will be predicated on a 60% PLUS Passing Attack

LSU could see a 70% Passing Game in 2020

No one will stop LSU in 2020 — AGAIN

The Texas game...though I saw alot of things that encouraged me during the ga southern game too. It was apparent early on that we had something special going.

When Burrow hit Marshall wide arse open against Bama in 1st half for a walk in score. That showed me that Bama could not defend it and therefore not likely that anyone else would either if we continued to execute.

This. I told the football guys at work that this team was going to be REALLY good, and they said hey, it's Georgia Southern. My reply was a lesser team doesn't make you; run creative, accurate routes, catch the ball, make open field tackles, etc. It was impressive.

They were 5 wide in the spring game and you could see it was very different. First game solidified the new era offense. It was a precise dissection of Ga. Southern defense. Burrow was a Doctor, a Maestro!

+1. Defining moment for the ENTIRE season. Look what happened to Texas after that game. They WERE a national title contender. Burrow just got better.... and better.
