Someone compared him to Steve Smith. That’s pretty dead on but Chase is a little bigger. Smith was a little faster.

Bama, UGA and Clemson all tried to literally punch him at the LOS. Their DBs were pretty much throwing haymakers and Chsse owned every DB they tried to put on him.

Black Angus,

Is this a joke? The dude is built like a horse, catches everything, runs perfect routes, and is physically superior to anyone he matches up with.

He is in the top tier of receivers I've ever seen.

Elite strength and elite burst.

In short, his strength keeps DBs from getting their hands on him and slowing him down and his burst allows him to run past dbs and get quick separation.

He's a very explosive athlete.

Chase has a little Smitty in him.

He's very good at going after the ball, and Burrow took advantage of that.

The first touchdowns against Bama and Clemson tell you everything you need to know about Chase. Against 2 really good defensive backs, who had him covered, both went up for a jump ball, Chase came down with the ball and scored, while both db's ended up on the ground.

Very physical with suttle ways to create separation and that's enough for Burrow to fit it in.

He is so strong. When elite DBs are covering him he is good enough that they have to use contact to stay with him. Once contact is made you will see the DB will stumble while Chase keeps his balance. That’s because Chase is so strong he dominates the contact. He’s very good at everything else - good hands, fast, quick, decent height - but the strength of Chase is what makes him the best in the college game.
