Newton would have been the next year when Tebow graduated. Were either of them 4th or 5th string QBs like Scott? Just admit it was a poor comparison and move on (I know you won't)

No, he would have started in 2010 like he did at Auburn. He wasn't intending on transferring from Florida. He was kicked off the team. Had he not been kicked off the team, he would have started for Florida. It is stupid to compare a blue chip prospect who was the backup to the Heisman trophy winner to a 4th or 5th string freshman who transferred because he knew he'd never start.

I dont think that lesterearl was saying that Scott is a good as either if those two, but that none of us truly know what this kid's ceiling really is. And we are left to assume what went into the evaluaton while at LSU. It obvious that the staff liked others on the depth chart more. What that was based on, is insider stuff.

yea, not even close. Im saying dont discount the competition. Scott was underrecruited because of his size. The kid has talent and if he keeps playing like he did last night there will be teams lining up for his services next year

I remember in 2013 Josh Gray was averaging well over 30 points a game playing JUCO basketball and even had a few 50+ point games if I remember correctly. He came to LSU and obviously didn't do nearly as well. Of course basketball is different from football but JUCO is still JUCO and Div 1 is still Div 1. There's a HUGE difference in talent between these two levels and guys like Scott who truly belong in Div 1 can sometimes look like demigods playing against such lesser talent.

Trust the coaches, and realize you are not a CFB coach for a reason

Happy for Scott. JF3 lit it up for 5 TDs in a game and he's on his fourth school playing WR. It's juco

Yep. Some good HS teams could beat some JUCO teams.

I love Harris, but dont think he would have thrown for 5 tds in a Juco game.

great numbers and I'm pulling for Scott, but pump the brakes, fella. It's juco, and the team they played last night wasn't even an elite juco team.

Let's decide this once and for all.
Who did East play? We can play them next year.

i'll tell you exactly what it told us.

scott is a good qb who lit up a juco game.

will be awesome to see where he ends up next year with 3 years to play.

those 2 guys had much better physical tools at their disposal than scott does

this isn't the NFL, teams don't discriminate in college football based solely on height. He lacks plenty of other tools at the position.
