What is the latest on former LSU great Randy Livingston?

He was hired on as an assistant under Johnny Jones. I suppose he got thrown out with the bathwater. He was formally an NBA D-league coach of the year, not to mention player of the year after several years as an NBA journeyman. He has expressed interest in coaching. Yet he doesn’t seem to be on the coaching circuit. He doesn’t have any history of run-ins with the law, drugs, or any bad press. I wonder why he can’t seem to land a coaching gig.

I'm surprised teams aren't lining up considering he was under Johnny Jones' tutelage.

Wasn’t he running some sort of recruiting service out of Australia? Or am I thinking of someone else.
Did he ever get a college degree? I think that held back the former LSU women’s assistant coach

Back to doing the Australian gig. Not highly sought after in the states.

Randy was the third most talented PG in my opinion to ever grace the PMAC....and at his age was the 2nd best.
Note: I am calling CJ and Ben BOTH PGs...so if you don't agree with that, then we can re rank later.
I still say to this day, having watched both grow up in hoops at or about the fact same age....if Randy doesn't get hurt, he and Jason Kidd are both Hall of Famer NBA players He was that freaking good!

I don’t think he’s earned his degree yet.

He has his own recruiting service based out of Australia.

Maravich was a point guard.
So was Sparky Wade.
Both national MVPs
What ignorance.

I saw him last week at LA fitness on Siegen Lane.

Dude stopppppppppppppppppppp. You ranking Randy Livingston as the third most talented PG to ever grace the PMAC. That is laughable at best. Here are some stats for you. He played in 16 games his freshman year and averaged 14 points per game and 9 assists. Pretty solid freshman year. But not in the top 3. His sophomore year he averaged 6 points per game and 5 assists. Yes he was injured most of his short career, but you can't rank him amongst the best to ever play in the PMAC. Amazing high school career. Because of the injury he underachieved at the college level.
1) Chris Jackson
2) Ben Simmons
3) Torris Bright
4) Darrel Mitchell
Tremont Waters will be ranked very high before it's all said and done.

Read the headline lammo. He said to grace the PMAC. Sparky Wade and Pete never played in the PMAC.

He is in baton rouge still collecting a paycheck from LSU like every other ex coach. He is also giving private lessons to a few local kids. He told me last Thursday that he hopes to coach again but has not been approached anytime recently.

Pete was a shooting guard. He didn't pass the ball very often

He and I got into an argument over the FG attempt in the Bowl game on a mutual friend's Facebook. I said take the points he said go for it. CSB.

We can all agree, he was at least as good as Anthony Hickey.
