Man, I'm glad you didn't post the other meaning of the MARTA acronym. You would have been banned, hammer banned or whatever these guys call it. No, quite the opposite....you are on a pace to win the Nobel Peace prize. #reverseracismisthewaytofeelbetteraboutourselves

I got the buckhead Westin right next to Marta for 250 total for two nights on Hotwire. Search buckhead 4 star 80% recommended

Marta is actually one of the best things about Atlanta. Marta saves you from all the unbearable traffic, which isn't made any better by Uber.
I rode Marta after we whipped UGA two weeks ago and it was fun listening to the Dawg fans cry. One of them was lamenting the "arse whipping" UGA received; his words. You don't get that commentary in an Uber car driven by a disoriented immigrant.

Holiday inn Express Perimeter mall location Sandy Springs . Go through Priceline. Thank me now in advance . Stayed there for SEC Championship. Best bang for the buck hands down . My uncle lives in atlanta & recommended this place for us. Short ride to buckhead where all the bars are . Once you get to buckhead you can walk to each bar.

If you want basic accommodations, stay at a hotel on the south side that has an airport shuttle. Take the shuttle to the MARTA station at the airport.
I did this last week and paid $105/night before taxes. And free breakfast at Fairfield.

I would look around Lenox Mall. Lots of hotels. Pricey to moderate. Good luck it's getting late.

Lenox stop near perimeter mall. Embassy Suites for $120/night. I almost stayed in Buckhead, but I noticed that parking was very expensive at the hotels over there.
