NO... Whats pathetic and miserable is fans that want O to fail so bad they can't stand it.... Was he the right hire??? I say no..... However he is STILL the coach of the team I root for and I want them to do great..... Most on here can't wait for AND expect him to fail... Which in turn makes it looks like they want LSU to fair...............

Says the guy that thinks they go 6-6 this year. There are only a select few idiots that have actually said they want LSU to lose. Others just get lumped into that crowd. There's a HUGE difference between the two.

After the Troy game people where asking if LSU would even win another game and then finishe the season 6-2
So yea I would say that is saving LSU

If Orgeron gets credit for the "save" he must also be responsible for being the one who almost "killed" LSU.

So, the man is essentially getting credit for not killing the program. Awesome.

Yes but I don’t think anyone has a good read on this years team. Too many unknowns at this point and only time will tell

All of this “O is possibly amazing” chatter is nice. I just don’t want to hear any excuses this year. None.

I agree 100% and have said that repeatedly. There are a bunch of changes to the coaching staff and I hope they work out. The fact remains that this head coach hasn't had much success hiring offensive coordinators and made the same mistake at Ole Miss as he did here. Does that mean Ensminger will be a mistake? Of course not, but it's ok to discuss it because it's relevant given the past.

Ok so I think this team is A 6-6 team... I DON'T want that at all... I want like 10-2... Its the constant bashing of the schools HC that bothers me... Gloom and DOOM all over this place.......

And do you think you're the only one that can separate what think will happen from what they want to happen? C'mon man.

You are missing my point.... I am an LSU fan first and fourmost..... I want LSU to win no matter the coach.... However this team has potential only on offense right now... Its a huge mystery.... They may come out and shock the world... Miami has got talent and experience in places we do not......

I read that article yesterday and almost posted it. Then re-read it and chose not to.

Same here, but I was about halfway thru the first read lol

It says nothing and looks like he wrote it over lunch to meet his quota.

Wow, i never read post history, but you basically have said the same sentence (re-worded) 5k times.

Fact is, Les recruited very well, no matter what these bozos try to tell you. And he was fired.

I think talent wise we are better than the other 9 so why not expect wins?

On paper, Miss State is as talented if not moreso than LSU v. Miss State

Returning Starts on Offensive: LSU: 3; State: 10
Returning Starters on Defensive: LSU: 8; State: 8

QB: State
RB: State
WR: LSU
TE: LSU
OL: State

DL: Really close. State has a stout line anchored by Jeffrey Simmons. So does LSU. Let's say Push even though most national folks would give this to State.
OLB: State (Sweat was All SEC; Chiasson is potential for now)
ILB: LSU (White is the man; but don't sleep on ALL Freshman SEC E. Thompson)
CB1: LSU
CB2: Push
S: LSU

Sounds simple.

Oh yeah, can you define “wins” and “loses” please?

That’s kind of the whole crux of that simplistic statement. How you define those two terms.

lol if you really believe this is a widespread thinking point

people on this board are foaming at the mouth to be right about O. It comes thru in the negative posts. Simply saying "I want LSU to do good!!!" is does not mask anything.

It's not a question of choosing to look at the positive or negative. How about looking at both, realize there are significant elements to both and acknowledge that not so long ago it was far more positive?

I don't understand why more people can't see that exact same point of view. It's like everything else in life. There are positives and negatives and people's job performance is graded by their resume and what they have done up to this point.

I wasnt a fan of the O hire and still have doubts but the always negs on here are just like the skyscreamers in politics. I hope he does exceptionally well just so all these cocksuckers eat crow for along time, on top of I’m an LSU fan.

I just think objectively speaking this is year 2 for O. The interim crap is not his team.

Last year was his 1st year and just like 1st year coaches, he struggled early to find an identity. He also had an OC who wanted to find Waldo but couldn’t identify his own Waldo. Our OL was our Waldo. He had no depth and was suspect in passing downs. This was a result of coaching change and attrition combined with coaching.

I’m extremely hesitant to judge any of my employees on small sample sizes. Ed O isn’t The same dude he was at Ole Miss. So I can’t use that as his fate either.

He has a chance this year with a difficult schedule to show me he can navigate the gauntlet that is an LSU schedule.

I was the first joe burrow post on the recruiting board. I watched OSUs spring game and was pissed that they were stacked at qb while we struggled. When he was grant eligibility I didn’t think he’d come.

He is here. So let’s geaux
