The most classless things I’ve ever heard in a stadium came from ASU fans when the game was moved to their place after Katrina.
People saying they hoped we had lost everything and that it was too bad we survived.
Never heard anything like that in Tiger stadium.

I’ve been harassed at road games, at nearly every place I’ve been, but made more friends. There are jerks everywhere, including LSU.
A few trash fans don’t dictate my experience or judgement of an entire fanbase.

LSU fans like to spin the narrative both ways, where they are at once the most intimidating fanbase as well as the most friendly and hospitable lol.
Incredible mental gymnastics here by the collective red stick zeitgeist.
(It is a great cfb venue, btw)

This is where you have the worst of that sort of thing, IMO. It can be the most fun but it is also the place where you get a lot jerks it seems.

I had season tickets on the east sideline for 30 years and gave them up for the 2019 season. Never has it been so bad.
There does seem to be a paradigm shift that I think is part of the NC or we suck mentality. But overall I find the fans are usually not that disrespectful.
Our season tickets are in the wet, upper chairbacks. It is families and older folks like me in our area, we are generally cordial to opposing fans who are not pricks. Basically, they get what they give.

Most of what you just said was built by visitors, not LSU fans. LSU is widely known for being the best or one of the top experiences in every poll ever created.

All I know is it’s a huge bucket list item for big football fans. There’s lore of it being one of the greatest sporting venues/atmospheres in the world so it always worries me when I read posts here of first timers looking to come to TS for a game and they choose something like McNeese v LSU or some 11am game.
TS has the potential to be one of the greatest venues on a given night but the circumstances have to be just right ie top 10 undefeated matchup at home with stakes nowadays

It’s definitely respected nationally as a top CFB venue, right up there with Happy Valley, Neyland, etc. I always see our stadium at or near the top when content creators rank CFB stadiums period, so it baffles me when I see some LSU fans trash some aspects about it. Can it be better? Of course, but we have a legit cathedral of college football right in Baton Rouge.

Ps these are Aggies ,sooners and longhorns. Pussies. I know.
They need to stop being babies. I’ve been assaulted in College Station for simply wearing purple on a game day before, but I still don’t let that experience dictate what I think of their entire fan base. There are assholes everywhere

I was a little disappointed at several people outside the stadium selling F___ Saban t-shirts outside thinking, isn't this a family event?
Years ago we went to Tuscaloosa. Rolled in Friday night and hit the strip decked out in LSU gear. Mind you this was the college aged area. We got nothing but frick YOU frick LSU over and over and over.
It was intense. Not gonna lie. It wasn’t just a friendly roll tide. It was aggressive asf. Now that was Friday night. We didn’t get hardly any of that on actual game day and definitely didn’t get any of that inside of Bryant Denny.

We owe those motherfrickers come October. I’m gonna throw it all out the window and become the most cliche obnoxious a-hole LSU fan you can imagine.

I have cousins who are Ole Miss grads that claim they had Jack Daniels bottles thrown at their head. Sure dude. Never happened.
Had some Aggie fans that were friends come with us to a game. An LSU fan said something about their Aggie colors reminded him of a menstrual period. The wife was clutching her pearls and still talks bad about us like it was the worst thing she had ever experienced. Her husband an actual Aggie grad just laughs about it.
After the Overtime game at Kyle field the same wife and some other friends of my wife claimed LSU fans were throwing bricks at Aggie fans. Another never happened story.
I have family that are Texas fans that state Tiger Stadium is the best sports experience they have ever had. My daughter's boyfriend had his first experience at the Bama game we won two seasons ago. He may now have more LSU stuff to wear than Texas stuff.

It's on everybody's bucket list

There's a one-off here and there but LSU is the most inviting and welcoming fan bases.

This is definitely a thing. Someone can grow up a fan of another major program. They go to an LSU game with some friends as a neutral spectator and end up loving it only to convert to become and LSU fan. I’m certain a bunch of kids have left Texas behind. Especially when you factor in how relevant LSU has been while UT hasn’t been relevant.
There’s just something about the colors, traditions and culture that sucks people in. That’s why I swear LSU has just as many fans outside of Louisiana as they do inside Louisiana. Some of the biggest die hard fans I’ve ever met aren’t even from Louisiana they just got hooked and never looked back.

I've told people to put it on their bucket list to go to an LSU game. If their team isn't playing, then to wear LSU gear and have the time of their life.
"You told me, but I didn't understand. That was the most amazing weekend"
"You said LSU is best tailgate in country, but I had to see it to even understand"
Every time. I love newbies to Tiger stadium!!

You have never been to Fla. Those guys are the worse to the point that I will never go back there.

Most of it is urban legend. Sure, we have a few crazies like everyone else. But I've seen more fights between LSU fans than with the other team's fans.

Also to a person they say the Swamp is that place, that they are just awful to opposing fan bases, one of the guys who told me this is a Gator fan and was a student there for a while.
I live in Florida. The Gator fanbase that
Did not go to UF and you meet in a bar is pretty rough to take. I took my wife to a game in Ben Hill back in 2014 or 15. The one we kicked a 50yrd plus fg to win right at the end. They were really nice to us up until that point. No one went out of their way to be an a-hole to me and the wife after the game, but I definitely made the decision to take her to the car and asap and leave before something got said that I didnt like.

I've been a season ticket-holder for 20 years and I had the worst experience ever with this in 2022. I brought my long-time Tennessee Vol fan friend to that day game. He wore nothing that would identify himself as a Vol fan except for a camo hat with a small orange "T" on the front. While I was a couple of rows down (visiting with some other Tennessee fans), the a-hole who had the seats in front of me (section 419) grabbed my buddy's hat and threw it down for no reason. Then as this clown and his girlfriend left (when the LSU fans stood up to tell him to chill) he open hand Sunday slapped at my friend's face as he headed out. I'm soooo glad I didn't see any of it or I'd have spent the evening in LSU's jail. I was so disappointed that some idiot ruined what was a great trip for my friend to experience Tiger Stadium.

TN fans by us (2 years ago) were absolutely the worst.
“THIS is the hype?”
“Atmosphere sucks”
Etc, Etc
11a game and LSU played like crap aside, they were terrible.
