As somebody who has rented a house, I’m sure this looked like you installed it.

Fixed an issue with my car's brake lights. After parking and turning off the car, finally noticed the brake lights were completely on with no way to turn off without disconnecting the battery. Almost drained my battery as I didn't notice it in the light, but saw it after dusk.
Next day, thx to YT, I purchased a new brake pedal stopper pad(s) and replaced. Took about 3 minutes, hardest part shimmying underneath the driver's dash on my back to click in the pad.
If you see this happen to your vehicle, just look on the floor board for a little black disk maybe the size of a nickle. YT your make and model and don't take to a dealer or mechanic. It's a $0.01 part that costs $10 at the parts store, but will save you $100.00 plus by a shyster I'm sure.
Little black disk under the 2 silver nuts.

I’m still not sure how a 12V battery is connected to a security system that is plugged into a 120V wall outlet, but all I know is it’s fixed and I felt like I could solve all the world’s problems after that.
I'm an electrical engineer with experience designing large scale multi-family condos, commercial, educational, industrial, and hospitals. I've designed operating rooms. Unless you've improperly described the issue, then I can't figure it out either. This is probably going to bother me for weeks until I convince myself that you're wrong about something.

-Icemaker in my freezer wasn't working. Youtube videos knew what was up. Needed to clear the freezer, take off the back panel, and break up some ice that had accumulated.
-Had nonstop light dripping from a showerhead, regardless of how tightly I twisted the knobs. Turns out the washers behind the knobs had deteriorated over time. Fairly easy fix, but I needed to get a tool to pull the knobs off as they were stuck to the piping/whatever it's called, and were impossible to remove by hand unless you're prime Schwarzenegger. My other shower just started to have the same issue, so I'll be doing it again soon. Excluding the knob removal tool (~$10), it only costs about $5 of materials + 20 minutes of time.

No the floors I installed look great. The floors from the previous owner look like shite though. Just terrible craftsmanship especially around the door frames. So half the house looks good, so you're half correct. Lol

Water flow was slow on my kitchen sink. I learned I could unscrew the small aerator on my faucet head and clean it with baking soda and vinegar. I also clipped the weighted extention hose with a chip bag clip, removed the large faucet head, and cleaned it for good measure while I was at it.

Found an A button delete plug in for my Toyota Highlander, ordered the part off Amazon and installed it per YouTube directions, works great!

One plugged sunroof drain on my 21’ Aviator. Nexus in Covington said they needed replacing for $1600.00
Was a problem, or maybe on purpose with sound insulation in wheel well being installed over end of drain tube.
1/2 hr of my time to sort out. $0.00 spent

Lotsa stuff. And AI (Perplexity) walked me through killing off a McAfee fraud virus that had locked down my laptop.

It’s absolutely worth every penny. YouTube premium is life-changing. It’s only $18. It’s very liberating that whenever I wanna watch something it just plays. No delay.

My latest fix is dropping the fuel tank in my Tahoe to blow out all the charcoal in my vacuum lines.

I might be one of the “handiest” people on this website. I’ve built, houses, cars, electronics, you name it. Even with all that, I go to YouTube if I’m working on anything for the first time, every time.
Between YouTube and AI, anyone should be able to fix anything. I was troubleshooting the fiber optic network on a mini cooper and it was showing some weird code. I asked Grok and it said “the MULF unit under the front drivers seat got wet and corroded, that’s what is causing your issue”. Sure enough, the module I didn’t know existed got wet and was corroded.

I've been using Grok to assist me in sorting out a 1992 Deere garden tractor, starting circuit diagnostics, then the fuel cutoff solenoid, disassembly steps, saves a ton of time hunting through deere's online parts lookup, grok tells you right out what part # to look for.
Two weeks ago i found a pause and play youtube video for the set of airbags I got for the f250 so that still gets used too.

I’ll be using it to take down an over the range microwave and installing a hood vent. Should be doing that this weekend.

Just last wk I changed the relay and capacitor in my fridge. The fridge/freezer temp was fluctuating and I would hear an intermittent click. Compressor wasn’t kicking on every time it needed to cool. I actually didn’t know which part was bad but it was only $125 for both. Capacitor plugs into the relay which plugs into the compressor. Was a 5min fix.
