Just make sure if you're a guy you have a guy's ID and the correlating ticket.

Same thing happened to a friend of mine, except he didn't lie convincingly and was sentenced to an essay and placed on some kind of probation.
ETA: the dean of students was pretty funny though: he was mostly annoyed and was talking about how "When I got my Ph.D., I never thought I'd be having to deal with student ID violations.."

This is what happened when my ID got "used without my knowledge", but that was about 10 years ago...

Got caught once doing this.
They took the guy's ID and the cop walked me out of the gate. He was nice about it and told me nice try.
Let me keep the ticket though.

My friend was turned around, didn't do anything to him though. Other guy gets in trouble I believe, but it's a slap on the wrist meeting
