We didn’t pass on Christian Harris, he didn’t want to play for LSU

And neither of them could consistently bring in high quality olinemen.
Our OL talent under Les was pretty good TBH but was sorely neutralized by our scheme. Take LT for example. Here's who played the position during the Les era:
'05: Whitworth (not a Les recruit)
'06 - '09: Ciron (would've been a 1st rd pick had he stayed healthy)
'10: Barksdale (solid NFL career at OG I think)
'11-'12: Chris Faulk (great player; would've been a low rd pick if not for injury)
'13-'14: La'el (on my all-time Tiger OL)
'15: Jerald Hawkins (solid talent; played some in the NFL)
'16: Malone

Our amazing coach told Cooper he “might” have a spot for him and to wait. A&M told him we will always have a spot for you. Now they have a All SEC linebacker from 45 mins down the road.

I think the lesson to be learned here is that Louisiana has a lot more talent than most places. You look at linebackers from Louisiana who weren’t as highly ranked in this class doing great at Texas A&M, Arkansas, & Mississippi State. Meanwhile we’re fishing for big fish across the nation when we have better players in our own backyard. When will people learn that Louisiana is a talent pool full of studs, whether their rankings say it or not.
Personally, I think we should be going for the biggest fish we can...starting in the state of LA and all surrounding states. However, for offensive line, it seems we need to go throughout the nation to get the best linemen we can find.
