With all of the talent that we have coming back I have boldly stated to many of my friends that LSU will hoist the crystal ball next year in New Orleans, but there are a couple of games that have serious potential to derail our season.
Oregon vs. LSU

This game scares me because it will be our first game with the new OC. However, I believe we will come out on top of this one. As Miles has shown before, when he has time to prepare he coaches at his best. If we do happen to lose this game we can still bounce back by winning the SEC and still make the BCSCG.

LSU at Bama

This game is the one that I believe will decide our season (and theirs). I think the winner of this game wins the SEC and goes to the BCSCG. If we lost this one we probably won't even win the West.

What do you guys think?

Oregon, West Va, Tenn, Miss St, Florida, Alabama, Auburn, Ole Miss, Arkansas all have potential to derail us. The SEC has loads of talent every single year and it is hard to say what is going to happen.

Our non-conference schedule is the toughest in the country, fact! If we can get through the season undefeated there is no team that could take us in the title game, that will be a cake walk.

I still think the National Championship will have at least one 1 loss team and that could be LSU.

Oregon. There Offense is very difficult to defend and totally unlike anything else we will see. Bama has a new QB and has substantial losses in Julio Jones, Mark Ingram and Marcel Darius.

I won't even come see the trainwreck on this board that will ensue after our first loss.

No way they lose more than 2 games next year. If they can go 10-2 with an anemic offense, then I'm certain they can match that at a minimum with the new offensive coordinator.

When I take off my P&G glasses I realize this team is very young, and you don't replace the leaderhip of Nevis, Peterson, and Sheppard. I think LSU will be much better on the backend of the Season than the begining. I can see us with two early season losses and then reeling of 8 or 9 in a row to close.

If Oregon goes undefeated and is our only loss, nobody else goes undefeated...

Rematch in the NC?

Mississippi State on the road on a Thursday night after we play Oregon on the road in Dallas could be a trap game.

No because that loss will make Oregon unworthy of playing in the title game. The Pac-12 is weak already, do you think losing the only TRUE game they play next season would be good enough? No.

If Oregon losses to LSU, they are done unless other teams fall, it has happened before, but I just don't see them getting back into contention with a loss in a weak Pac-12.

LSU can recover because of our schedule and who we play. We have games against Alabama, West Va, Florida, etc...

Bottom Line, No rematch for a NC! The voters do not want to see that and there is more money to be made with a first time matchup between two teams that have not squared off against each other already.

Sorry, I misread the comment.

If it said Oregon lost to LSU than I would have made a point...lol

Sorry about that, I go on a tangent sometimes.

Arkansas is always the issue...we are able to stop Alabama's running game but Arkansas always runs wild on us.

Arkansas is the one team I want LSU to beat bad next year.

I'm probably most afraid of playing W.Virginia on the road, Tennessee on the road and finally Bama, simply because it's bama.

the schedule is BRUTAL. Oregon could very well get us in the opening game. then you have a couple of teams that have LSU circled on their calenders in Tennessee and Mississippi St. Ole Miss ALWAYS seems to be up for us and don't forget about West Virginia in Morgantown...and add Arkansas and Bama in the mix. you could realistically look at 11-1...or 6-6.

Bama

I predict 10-2 with a bowl victory for 11-2
