Relax. It's not what you think. However any amateur psychologist will tell you that Landon Collins' continued beef with LSU fans is basically rooted in his mother's not so subtle behavior when he chose Bama over LSU. When he says he wants to prove to the fans that he made the "right decision" he actually wants to prove to his mother who never hid the fact that she wanted her son to play for LSU.

Every recruit across the country gets it from the fan base if he doesn't chose the local/instate favorite school, most of them move on and don't give it much thought once they get their careers going at their school of choice but the outright and continued animosity Landon Collins has towards LSU and its fan base can only be explained by the lack of acceptance and sense of rejection he must have felt when his mom showed that she preferred LSU on national TV. Don't think for one second that this has to do more with his mom than with the fans giving him a hard time.

When he talks about how bad he and his family got it from the LSU fan base after he chose Bama what he really means to say that nothing any stupid fan could say could hurt him as deep as his mom's rejection of his decision. That's what hurts the most and the LSU fan base is just the target upon which he needs to project his anger and disappointment in his mother.

I wish LC no harm and hope he goes on to have a great pro career. I'm not one of these douchbags whose state of mind and life is dictated by the choices of an 18 yr old and where he decides to play football. We all need to grow up in that regard. CLM has and will continue to do a good job of keeping most of the instate talent. No one talks about how Nick Saban let the best player in the State of AL (Jameis Winston) get away to Florida State. I digress....

If you feel like LC's attitude and comments seem different....more intense/more vitriolic... from any other recruit who has left the state...that's because it is different. Most if not all of those other recruits have the full support of their family and so they don't give a shite about the dumb fans. However, in this case LC didn't have the approval of the one person closest to him...his mother. Until he comes to terms with that LSU and it's fan base will continue to affect his state of mind.

I couldn't care any less about him at this point. Tired of hearing it from LSU fans and him. Just bored of it at this point. Can't believe this is this year's story line. blahhhh.

Or put another way, it is simply cognitive dissonance.

Geez, LC is getting exactly what he wants. His words have gotten under LSU fans' skins and he's getting a lot of attention.

I swear, I honestly, usually, read everything a poster writes on here. I hate the tl;dr shite that people post when someone gets a little long winded. It's a message board..you're supposed to read.

All that being said...what the fricking Sam hell man??? I made it three sentences and either woke up an hour later or I was warped through space and time, seeing as it hasn't been an hour since you posted this. But, being as there is no viable means of time travel now, I have to assume that my brain did a "revert" to a point in time, like you can do with your PC, where it wasn't cluttered with a virus, a fragmenting problem, or some other mean spirited shite hackers and the like do. frick this wall of gibberish.

So he's got some mommy issues.

Me, I'd just be happy to watch him cry for mommy after an LSU beat down.

When bitterness is allowed to run freely, it can defile any organization or people. Anger will blind one so they make rash decisions that usually have not-so-desirable consequences. The question I have is how far LC will allow it to control him before he costs BAMA something in this game? The fans will be relentless on the BAMA team just as they were against Ole Miss--LC needs to deal with his bitterness or things are going to get bad (or perhaps good for LSU). In the long run, bitterness has a high cost.

The patient has displaced negative feelings.

Although the patient has deep-seated anger with his mother, the patient cannot express that anger at his mother because his psyche won't allow him to do so. Thus, he projects his frustration on the closest analogous substitute who expressed a similar, albeit less personal, dissatisfaction.

In short, he's repressing his anger toward his mother and displacing that anger to the LSU fanbase.

From a strictly clinical standpoint, the etiology seems clear. One does not see similar behavior from other Louisiana athletes who decided to attend Alabama. Cam Robinson, Denzel Devall and Tim Williams do not display similar manifestations or indicia because they have not had an experience similar to the patient's.

The patient needs therapy.

I hope he gets the treatment he so obviously needs.

LSU needs to use LC in their favor. He will be playing hard and wanting to stand out. This could easily lead to his excitement overtaking his instincts. He could over pursue plays leaving someone open. If LSU attacks him early, he will get rattled. I hope the game plan is to go right after him. Let him get rattled then take him for a ride on the LF pain train.

Salviati,

Do you accept Blue Cross?

I really NEED therapy.

Just for starters, I've been a Cubs fan almost my entire life.

Please tell me there is help for me!
