I'll respect Orgeron if/when he's got us playing meaningful games in late November with a chance to get to Atlanta. When you start focusing solely on win totals you lose sight of the main objective...to win a championship.

You're right, I was just addressing what someone said about win totals. I wasn't getting into the reason behind the firing just that if one thing wasnt good enough for the previous coach then it shouldn't be enough for the current coach.

1.) Win football games at a clip equal to or better than Miles.

2.) Take English classes.

Oh come on. Turn on an old NCAA video game and play it on Junior Varsity level if you want that standard always met.

As long as they're winning, I don't care if they run the single-wing and win every game by a FG. That would still get Orgeron respect.

Holy shite. Miles last two full seasons were 9-3 and 8-4. So, you should already respect what Orgeron has done. Do some of you honestly still wish Miles was the coach? This thinking baffles me. He was a good coach who had lost his fastball. Do you really think he was ever going to get us back to going toe to toe with Alabama in the West? He was a good coach, a solid guy and a good ambassador for the school, but it was time for him to go.

So we paid millions in buy out money for similar results?Seems like a bad plan.

This is all true, it was Miles' time to go. The problem is you replaced him with a lesser coach.

Also, I don't think O is the man that brings us back to going toe to toe with Bama either.

Just like Coach Miles, some have already decided to hate him regardless of outcome. Some of these haters just kept on hating through the coaching change

Why would winning the same amount of games that Miles won the two seasons before he was fired earn anyone respect?

Seriously, just think before you post because you're starting to say some really stupid shite.

Keep earning the respect of those who actually matter- the parents of 4 and 5 star recruits. Pay no mind to the psychotics who aren't happy unless they're unhappy.

You keep saying things like this in multiple threads. Maybe you should wait until Orgeron pulls in a top 10 class as head coach before saying things like this?

I agree. The results better start improving or Orgeron will be gone too and you will be correct in your belief that it was an awful hire.

He doesn't appear to be a lesser coach than Miles was his last few years. Right now, I'd say they're dead even. we're getting similar results, aren't we?

It shouldn't! That was my point. If you expect Orgeron to do the same as Miles was, then your expectations are low.

How do you know this dumbass? Again, some of you act like O has proven a damn thing and people are still giving him shite despite the results.

Miles averaged over 10 wins per season and a SEC West title every 4 years. So, "doing the same as Miles" isn't 8 or 9 wins. It's 10 per year, minimum.

8 or 9 win seasons are not good enough for LSU. That has been established by the fan base and the decision makers.

We have been through the train wreck. It was October/November of 2015. We were getting physically beaten. We had an awful offense. We were second best on the line of scrimmage against anyone good. O has brought us back from that brink of a death spiral.
FYI Against the softest SOS in at least 15yrs, Ed's only LSU offense (2017) scored less ppg than all but one of Miles (2009).

This years schedule presents a challenge like 2011.
Preseason #13 according to Steele, which would be easiest since '08....except for the joke 2017 SOS of #37.

Bebe needs to say "I need to do better at delivering on my promise to LSU fans" and tell all you Eauxpologists to stfu with your disgusting excuses, goalpost shifting, and deflection.

New Years 6 bowl, winning record against Miami, Florida, UGA, Bama and Auburn, and Beat everybody else convincingly (non-power 5s, and the remaining SEC scheduled teams are all in flux with new coaches or problems of their own). I think A&M will be a wild card team at the end of the year that could be a make or break game for the season's outcome.

Otherwise this is really the start of his 3rd year as coach (2nd without interim tag) and he should be showing progression as a program made in his image. If LSU gets pushed around again by teams like State or any non-power 5 team, his goose is cooked.

so again, you're telling me LSU is forking over millions of dollars to be stuck in the same rut as they were with a coach whom you said has lost his fastball? So then you're saying O's fastball is only as good as Miles' worst.
