This.

I really hate when people try to summarize bigger issues with simplistic numbers. Maybe that’s the only way they can understand

Go undefeated and win NC with every game a 56-0 shutout.

Then, a few would complain that we did not score enough against non-conference foes....

And you're not exaggerating, sadly this is the truth. Our fans are a bunch of babies.

Not sure what this means, but saving LSU buyout money would indeed be charitable.

Only one problem: His job isn’t on the line except in certain parts of the media- and of course, with a vocal minority on certain. Internet forums.

But keep wishing for failure, Bill Maher. Maybe you’ll get lucky.

Literally anything less than a 15-0 season will have people calling for his head. Possibly even back-to-back 15-0 seasons. I remember on 1/10/12 here nearly every thread was saying fire Miles. Never mind the fact that he was 13-0 less than 24 hours before. Yea he shite the bed that game, but if we all got fired for one bad day at work a lot of us would be unemployed.

Firing miles was right several years later, but at the time it was comical that a national championship birth wasn't enough for our fans.

Win 10+ regular season games a few years in a row with a west title sprinkled in. Don’t hire old and yes men guys for his staff. Call out alleva for being a clown. Get rid of the river boat captain criminal. Those would be a nice start.

All we can do is root hard for the guy to get us to the playoffs. That's the pinnacle. He'll need a 7 & 1 sec record to get us there. That's extremely difficult, but he will need to be able to do it more than once to continue leading the program. A down year you'd have to expect a 6 & 2 sec record. If we're gonna be seeing the 5 & 3 I'd rather us move on because we've been stuck there for too long. Granted, it's not fair to expect 8 & 0 and 7 & 1 year in and year out like the Sabama system. We have to accept that ain't reality. Kirby isn't going to do that either. Auburn ain't gonna do it.

I've been called an O apologist, a dumb O supporting frick and all kinds of things just from calling how I see it. Then, of course I've been accused of demonizing and vilifying the coach because I hate him as well.

Well there are a lot of jerks here. Fact is 99% of us feel the exact same way 99% of the time. A lot of folks here enjoy insulting other posters, so they're naturally going to spew venom when deep down they feel the same. LSU Football is stuck at a crossroad, and we're all just hoping for the best but often feeling that a trainwreck is coming.

Just beat other SEC schools in recruiting, that is all he (or any other coach) needs to do.
