We lost some of those 1 run games in a fashion that our teams use to win by the other team doing shite like throwing into right.

there are probably 5-6 games we should have won if we didn’t melt down in some way or other.

We had a lot of older guys disappoint and a lot of younger guys show their age under the bright lights.

Yep take 3 of the 6 meltdowns away and we are sitting at 13 wins and just need 1 to get in.

Last year we had a lot of elite talent and guys that didn’t wilt in the spot light.

This year that talent was green or regressed.

We have two losses due to our senior supposed best defensive catcher making bad plays. We have others where our pen just couldn’t hold it down.

The multiple ten run rules sucked but it’s the failure in tight games that doomed us and also shows how close this team was to being ok.

He makes sure we always go RLRL no matter what. Also, has no idea who the best player are so we rotate all year long..

Heck it’s going to take a miracle for Florida to make a regional too.

Unless they smarten up this week and schedule another game or two

I compared his record/track at LSU to that of Orgeron as a head coach here, and they are very similar in terms of championships followed by dramatic downturns. There is no disputing that

Why wouldnt you take into consideration each’s track record at their previous stops as well?

Curious if we get the nod in place of under .500 UF

Because Bill is a major retard.

The only two things O and JJ have in common is winning a NC and then a bad season after. Paul also has those things in common with them.

Otherwise both Paul and JJ were extremely successful at previous stops while O managed to be the worst coach in history at a school full of shite arse coaches.

Also after his title O didn’t interview a dc and was lazy on his OC hire.

JJ at least worked to bring even better coaches in.

O spent his time after the nc chasing skirt.

JJ was recruiting and running a program.

I truly hope thats the case, because i hate that team and its coach with a passion, and frankly, they are bad and dont deserve the postseason

Like Paul Mainieri? He won a championship, and he assembled that roster. People crapped on him, too, but I don't know if he ever had a team as bad as this one.

The 2011 team would like to say hello.

Still not as bad as this team. You have to go back to Paul's first year to find an LSU baseball team that was this bad.

2010 and 2011 were both bad

One made the tourny the other didn’t. This one can’t win close games, it’s not as bad as record would indicate

So he inherited a loaded lineup that went off last year and a generational pitcher that blew up.

You lost me here

He inherited Tommy Tanks and Paul Skenes?!?!?

Wow! The pitching staff was in shambles when CPM left. We had zero weekend starter. Only Floyd developed into one, and it took most of the season to get him there. That pitching staff was almost 100% CJJ. And Tommy White was a key piece at the plate. He protected Crews most of the season.

Why is he top tier? Because he won a CWS?

What does Jay Johnson bring to the table?
Heisenberg Aint Dead
It’s the poor fundamentals that kills me. They do nothing fundamentally sound. It’s all poor approaches at the plate. Terrible defense and pitchers who consistently fail to throw strikes.
