MSU's talent is nowhere on the same planet as LSU's

But if it's O's job to only motivate, because that's all interim head coaches do, then it's not his place to make offensive adjustments

What kind of asinine statement is this? He's auditioning to be the HC. If he wants to make adjustments then he should do it. LSU has the talent to beat Alabama, despite what everyone might think here. They should've got it done. It's on him as much as it is on Ensminger and the entire offensive staff.

The one thing I give O credit for is his motivation of the team. He's successfully kept the team from collapsing after the firing of Miles. I think that's the reason he was named interim, he has the rah rah personality to accomplish that.

We can thank him for doing his job, so that we have the best possible leverage to get the right guy in.

Anyone denying that Coach O has done a great job turning this team around is a tard. You can agree he's done a great job without supporting him as permanent coach.

This seems to contradict your statement that Coach O has not fired anyone.

Getting this team to play much better than it had under Miles. He has done that and then some. Still, LSU needs a different HC.

For changing the culture and invigorating the players.

The best thing Orgeron has done is get Miles out of the playbook.

His practice schedule has gotten a lot of compliments from players and pundits alike.

He has managed the company business and let the players and coaches focus on prep.

He has pumped some energy into this team each week and has had them mentally ready to play. I even include the Bama game because they were ready but a few seemed to have been overwhelmed with it all.

Seems to have held this recruiting class together for now.

Seems to have instilled some discipline in the team as evidenced by the number of minor suspensions.

Oh Hell I almost forgot this one! He has brought back dissemination of meaningful info in the weekly pressers and radio shows!

Coach O has changed everything that Miles was criticized for. Hes breathed new life into a stale program and thats why the team is playing so well. He's done a great job at what he's been asked to do, and i dont think anybody is arguing that.
But I still think the emotion is going to fade and then we will need to be better strategically than other teams. I dont think O brings that aspect to the table like a Herman or Jimbo or top tier coach would.

Not one thing. He's just a damned ole coon arse cheerleader. Get with it - we're doomed if we pick him. Could've done the same thing with Miles' wife. That's why he was sad after stomping Arkansas. He gone.

mixed in with a heavy dose of Derrius Guice and Darrel Williams to produce a whopping 634 yards. That’s the most total offense the Fighting Tigers have ever put up against an SEC opponent, and the 418 rushing yards were their most in an SEC game since Oct. 30, 1976, when they racked up 426 against Ole Miss.

LSU had two 100-yard rushers (Derrius Guice and Darrel Williams) and a 200-yard passer (Danny Etling) in the same game for the second time since 2013, and a total of nine players had receptions on the night, including two fullbacks and two tight ends.

LSU did all this without completely revamping its offense and abandoning its identity as a smash-mouth, run-oriented football team, but by just making some tweaks to formations and introducing a few new plays.

Josh Growden averaging 47.7 yards (a career-high) on his three punts. (The fact that Growden only punted three times in this contest further illustrates how dominant LSU’s offense was.)

Guice ran for a career-best 163 yards and three TDs on 17 carries for an average of 9.6 yards per carry.

wide receiver D.J. Chark became the first (and only) player in school history to score touchdowns of 75 yards or more both rushing and receiving.

LSU’s defense has given up just six touchdowns in the first six games of the season.

the Tigers have given up only 17 points in the last eight quarters of action,
and 84 total on the season which is tied for fourth nationally at 14.0 points per game.

After averaging just 21 points in its first four games,

LSU is the only team in the country that has held every one of its opponents to under 21 points.

Josh Growden booting the longest punt (68 yards) since 2012 when Brad Wing had a 69-yarder against Arkansas.

Not only did Fournette shatter Ally Broussard’s 12-year record for the most rushing yards in a single game, his 17.8 yards per carry set a new record for the highest single-game average of any LSU player with 15 or more carries.

a record-setting 284-yard performance for the nationally televised audience. The Rebels had no answer for Fournette as he scored on runs of 59, 76 and 78 yards en route to breaking Alley Broussard's school record of 250 rushing yards in 2004.

How incredible was Fournette? After a 1-yard loss on his first carry, Fournette gained 250 yards on his next six carries. His gains, in order: 59; 5; 24; 8; 76; 78. He averaged a video-game-like 35.6 yards a carry on his first seven runs.

He added to his extensive career highlight reel with a trademark trucking of Deontay Anderson in the second quarter.

The Tigers shut out Ole Miss in the second half, holding the Rebels to 37 yards and one first down through the third quarter and half of the fourth.

Also, you see elements that Coach O and Ensminger have worked on using the backs and tight ends more and that element is something Coach O picked up working with Lane Kiffin at Tennessee and USC.

But dude did just coach LSU to its road win in 20 years the week following the Bama game

• Derrius Guice had his best day as a Tiger with 21 carries for 252 yards.
His 96-yard TD run (see video) during the fourth quarter was the longest play from scrimmage in LSU history

the Tigers have now set an offensive school record in four of the five games they've played under Coach O and have outscored opponents 90-20 in the second half of those five games.

There has always been discipline within the team as far as off the field incidents and breaking team rules,at least as far back as 2005 that I can recall. Perriloux kicked off the team, Mathieu kicked off the team, Jefferson suspended for half a season. Hell, one game against Auburn a few years back, there was three or four players suspended for the game, Spencer Ware being one of them.

You make it sound like the inmates were running the asylum before Orgeron was the head coach. That's just not the case.
