But we were told our OL was the best in college. Fooled again. I at the minimum expected top 12. We're barely in the top 40. That's on Kelly

These strawman nonsense posts about "playoffs" are terrible. LSU is a national joke right now because Brian Kelly built a weak, slow, and undisciplined team. That has zero to do with the playoff. The playoff is nowhere on the same continent as Brian Kelly and this outrageously paid staff.

Kelly, this staff, and this roster must wade through embarassment, and then terrible, and then mediocrity, just to reach the threshold of competitive that would make "playoffs" anything remotely relevant.

I would be very surprised to see LSU beat Vanderbilt (3-3 in conference, most recently blown out by Missouri) in Tiger Stadium next Saturday. Let that sink in as to exactly where Brian Kelly has allowed this program to fall.

The truth is that Brian Kelly has no "true system." He is fat and lazy and out of his depth in modern college football.

An offense that was a step back, but a defense that was light years ahead. That can make for at least a ranked football team at season end.

Regardless of wins and losses I expected us to be prepared, play physical and atleast be competitive in the games we lost.

if anyone predicted anything worse than 9-3 there would be a shite ton of downvotes and multiple responses from the “shut up bitch”, “pussy”, “go frick yourself”, “eat a dick” crowd

That’s why there’s only one downvote per ridicule post.

Watched Scarborough for a change last night.

He said he thought LSU would be a four loss team but said he publicly predicted 9-3 so he didn't catch hell from everyone. Um, ok.

Then he said back in spring, he predicted 7-5. Ouch.

The playoffs. Nothing less tha that matters. And it is all that matters moving forward.

What I did not expect was 4 losses with 2 games to go and basically being eliminated from the playoffs with 3 games left. Hell, I would've settled for backing in at 9-3.

I also did not expect us to lose another home opener to a MUCH inferior team and to have Kelly be 4-8 at seasons end against ranked teams in his three years here.

I did not expect the team to not only have a 3 game losing streak but to look like complete dog shite in doing so and lose each by double digits.

I did not expect any team to blow us out by 30 points at home, especially in a season with such a huge amount of conference parity.

We now have 2 games left and there is absolutely nothing this team can do to meet expectations. All they can do is fail more miserably.

Can anyone explain exactly what it is that Kelly does inasmuch as he has nothing to show for his efforts?

better football.
I can take losing to good teams, but I cannot tolerate and support total incompetence and apathy. Our coaches change nothing from week to week.

I expected something between 9-3 and 7-5 and we'll probably end up somewhere around there unless we shite the bed in 2 consecutive home games, which is possible.

According to the polls on the website, most of the posters pick us to win every game by less than 10 points.

Sad thing is, next year is going to be worse. Any grown man on this board should have known what type of team this is at halftime of the Nichols game.

I expected this. Exactly what we’re getting
8-4 or 7-5. That’s what they are. A sober examination of the roster revealed that LSU:
Lost Heisman QB- replaced with guy with minimal experience
Lost leading rusher- have an average RB room and a non mobile QB
Lost 2 top WR- replaced with a bunch of 2s &3s. Solid guys not the same talent level
Lost OC- replaced with unproven coach
Replaced defensive staff- didn’t upgrade defensive talent

In summary- I expected defense to get somewhat better and the offense to more than offset that by being much worse.
Honestly where was the logical place all of this improved production was going to come from??

I thought they would go 8-4. Not because of personnel or coaching, but going forward, a lot of teams ( good teams ) in the SEC will have 2 to 3 losses.

Full disclosure of the money flow in college sports ( basically NIL) will permanently destroy the locker room. Teammates and the teammates families will always wonder why they are not getting theirs. I have one family member and an old teammate of mine who are currently involved in the SEC. Each of them have said cliques within the locker room have come down to the have and have nots.

Before, you can deny it if you were a top player receiving all the spoils. Now, you can’t. Imagine being the one receiving all the top benefits and you’re not producing.

In LSU’s case, it was just a matter of time.
