re: Offense Should Be Elite
Posted by seinfeldtiger on 11/17/24 at 5:51 pm to SpeedRacer89
A second half adjustment from Texas A&M to shut down the comeback/hitch routes to the field side, has changed the offense completely.
Once A&M took that away it exposed the true weakness of from LSU’s base 11 personnel.. The weakness is Daniels/Lacy are the same player. Anderson/Thomas are the same player. Defenses know they cannot throw deep. The lack of development/production of Hilton/Sampson is crippling to this offense.

re: What did we expect from this season? Honestly?

I thought they would go 8-4. Not because of personnel or coaching, but going forward, a lot of teams ( good teams ) in the SEC will have 2 to 3 losses.
Full disclosure of the money flow in college sports ( basically NIL) will permanently destroy the locker room. Teammates and the teammates families will always wonder why they are not getting theirs. I have one family member and an old teammate of mine who are currently involved in the SEC. Each of them have said cliques within the locker room have come down to the have and have nots.
Before, you can deny it if you were a top player receiving all the spoils. Now, you can’t. Imagine being the one receiving all the top benefits and you’re not producing.
In LSU’s case, it was just a matter of time.

Maybe certain coaches don’t believe in private school education for their little kids.

VC’s QB is legit.

So he will be at LCA next year?
re: What would Skip have done?

Skip would have asked how much did it take to get Naz. Why you paid so much to get a 2/3 year player?
re: Who is next great QB in La. ?
Posted by seinfeldtiger on 12/21/18 at 11:57 am to ChewyDante
Acadiana has some young talent at Qb. Howard of course. VC has a sophomore ( not sure of his name ) coaches I’ve talked to through their district think he’s real deal. I’ve heard same about kid from Ascension Episcopal. Live in laffy and never knew Jake delhomme had a son.
re: Saban to cleveland talks...

I believe he would take the job. Those coaches from that original belichick staff in Cleveland always felt there was unfinished business. If he leaves bama, Cleveland would be a spot.

I would like to be in the middle of Robin Meade and Julie Banderas

Is the 5/8 rule still in place? This will hurt APR too.

Wasn’t Kiir one of Wade’s guys?
re: Vermilion Parish teacher arrested during school board meeting
Posted by seinfeldtiger on 1/9/18 at 11:01 am to LSUlove
The real problem hasn’t been mentioned. This guy Peyou has been in the school system. With this raise he now gets to retire at his highest salary. One board member passed away, maybe two more have decided to not run again. Therefore, this new contract/raise was pushed before members leave.
This guy will retire with a large retirement salary and vermilion will be on hook for 3 or 4 retired superintendents.

re: Player with the best high school film you've ever seen?
Posted by seinfeldtiger on 12/14/17 at 9:11 pm to JJ27
Jeff George, Ronald Curry and Josh Booty were the 3 greatest high school quarterbacks I had seen. Adrian Peterson, Terry Kirby and Maurice Clarett for RB’s. Randy Moss, Orlando Pace and LaVar Arrington I truly believe could have made an NFL practice squad at 18 years old.
re: Best young HS QB in Louisiana?
Posted by seinfeldtiger on 11/10/17 at 2:48 pm to Mr. Hangover
While watching the prep playoff pairing show, Louisiana Football magazine guy said he will be national recruit in coming years. Remember he’s only a sophomore. Word is Vermilion Catholic has a good looking Freshman to go along with Jaime Howard’s boy (ascension episcopal) who’s in 8th grade. Acadiana area will have 3 good ones
re: LSU a "Couple players" from closing the gap

I’m confused on why Coach O thinks it’s important to say these things. It just makes getting your arse kicked by Miss state and Troy look worse.
re: Future LSU QB 7th Grade

For their age groups, Walker Howard and the Freshman from Vermilion Catholic (not sure of his name) are the top QB’s in the Acadiana area.

This team has too many role players being forced to play Alpha. I don't think hitting coaches can help.
re: So..you guys fired the winningest coach in school history...
Posted by seinfeldtiger on 11/26/16 at 11:14 am to Helmetnuts
if I'm Alleva, and my employee lies to my face about changes, I'm firing his arse too.
re: So who do we hire in 2019?
Posted by seinfeldtiger on 11/26/16 at 8:05 am to Brazos
I think that's the whole point of keeping O. No need to start from scratch. This team underachieved solely on offensive scheme/formations. I liked Mles, but I don't know many employees that keep their job after lying to his bosses face.
re: High school basketball talent in Louisiana seems to be way down.....
Posted by seinfeldtiger on 11/18/16 at 12:39 pm to basiletiger
I dont disagree with you. However, You do have an inaccuracy, Jason Kidd is a year older. Livingston shared POY award with him as Jr and Wallace as Sr. Others had Darnell Robinson ( Arkansas ) as POY for that class.
re: What are you most upset about?
Posted by seinfeldtiger on 9/4/16 at 8:51 am to EZE Tiger Fan
I'm upset that local media doesn't have the balls to hold him accountable for allowing this offense to stay the same. I like Miles, I don't like the fact that he never has to answer for anything.
