Robinson’s contract is up in March though.

tommie has done very well as the RC, he should be left alone on staff, 3 straight years of top 5 classes... hell, top 3... has connections all over the place... now if he wants to leave for pro, like he flirted with the bears last year. then thats ok... wish him well and hire frank... but i sure as hell wouldnt push him out the door... Mickey is showing his worth a year later, which is good, hes done well in NO... if frank could do DL and take meatballs spot then so be it... thats 3 big time Recruiters...

Corey Raymond’s contract is up in March too.

Would suck to lose him more than Robinson.

Frank Wilson would be a natural replacement for Robinson though

All of the players that you mentioned were on the team last year, and they were good enough to be ranked 72nd in the nation, as it relates to scoring offense. Now I know that Burrow and others have improved, but get real if you believe that the main catalyst to change was not Brady. No QB ever has and never will succeed under the sole coordination of Steve Ensminger. Burrow is amazing, but he wouldn't have been as great, without the scheme that allows quarterbacks to have advantages and options. You can not just copy what has already been done. Someone has to be truly innovative and constantly exhibit creativity to be truly successful in an offensive system. Ensminger does not have that in him, as evidenced by his history as a coordinator. There is only one new piece in going from 72nd to 3rd in scoring offense, and that is none other than Joe Brady. Thank God your opinion will not be factored in to the contract that will be given to Joe Brady, because he is vital in LSU's offensive success. My response is not negative about anything that LSU is doing, it is rather factual about what got them there. I am extremely pleased with Orgeron finally allowing the offensive coaches to become aggressive and I am completely thrilled about every aspect of LSU football at this juncture. I also would like it to continue, so I am thankful that the administration sees how important Brady is. I would love to see at least 1.5 million per year, at a minimum of 3 years. I would also say, give him whatever it takes.

I don't think Brady actually calls any plays.

I do believe he is a big part of the offensive turnaround, sure -- but, I agree --- LSU should do what it needs to do to let him know we want him... but you don't mortgage the farm on one year -- as you say, with the best QB in college football.

If LSU wins it all and SE is ready to retire on top - maybe you take a shot at Joe Brady as OC --- but in my opinion you can't pay him stupid money based on 1 year and really little other track record to go on.

I know lots of people will want to throw piles of money at Joe Brady, but if he's smart and he's as good as people think he is --- take a nice raise, stay at LSU and show you can do it without Joe Burrow... take on responsibility for calling plays and see how it goes in a 1 year Co-OC or "OC in waiting" type situation.... if the offense continues to roll --- promote him to OC and have the deal written up in advance.

Dude, if you were the AD you would slow play Joe Brady and probably lose him. I think Woodward and Brady already has an agreement made as some are saying. Who do you think changed this offense- Brady, Ensminger or O? The only new person is Brady. That is mostly his offense. You pay him well for a 3 year uncancellable contract. By the 3 years if he is still killing it then you back the truck and give him $2.5 or whatever it takes

I feel Ensminger would take a title demotion with no hurt feelings. Make Brady OC.
2 Years, 6 Mil
In two years he’ll be prime to jump anywhere. Even the NFL.

You don’t follow much football, do you?

Brady is going to be paid market price.

Lol if you don’t think he calls plays.

His market value is Top Tier OC range which may climb because he’s also getting interest for HC openings at Tier 2/3 schools. We obviously should pay him whatever it takes and I’m hearing that is the intention of our HC & AD. If you put a $$ value on what he’s accomplished THIS YEAR, what’s that ROI? It’s huge...and our AD should take that into consideration when he’s drafting what I’d expect to be in the range of 3yrs/~$7m.

Short of JB getting a HC offer from a Tier 1 college, I believe he stays at LSU.

I am glad to hear voices of reason on here. In reality, Coach O recognized LSU needed one component to his offense. He was able to streamline through arrogance, pride and ego's of himself and that of Coach Steve Ensminger to bring in a coach that could add to the talent already there! Not many people could perform such a feat! I summit, that was the nucleus of this years National Championship. Maybe it was through the love of the LSU football program from both of these coaches that brought forth a NC coaching formula!

For those kids on here: the first thing you learn in the real world of accountability that "everyone is expendable!"

LSU is bidding for Coach Joe Brady's influence and knowledge of the pro-style spread offense. Other teams, like UT, are looking for an OC. I say, if Joe Brady's ego directs his ambition then no one will be able to stop their deal. If not, then Coach Joe Brady would be prudent to take the money he can negotiate from LSU and stay. Then keep learning from Coach Steve Ensminger thereafter, providing the best shot for success of a bright future.

What happened here is an incredible transformation and if organizations such as UT thinks Coach Brady was the whole reason then they are recruiting the wrong position. And let'em!

Coach Steve Ensminger is a huge reason and guess what folks, he can still learn too. I am confident Coach Steve Ensminger can run it all now he understands the spread offense.

LSU will not hiccup with our new QB Mr. Miles Brandon!

The worst thing Coach O could do it to be disloyal to Coach Steve Ensminger for the sake of Coach Joe Brady.

Calm all this rhetoric and recognize Coach O knows what he is doing and by all means stop thinking all is lost if Coach Joe Brady goes!

You want to pay Brady more than double the highest paid OC in college football? (It's Todd Grantham at Florida at $1.4)

Ryan Day was at $1.2 at Ohio State. You think Brady is worth close to 3-times Ryan Day?

you would be a ruthless negotiator

I would give him about 1.5-1.75 mill as CO OC for a year and OC in waiting...I think there is more to the negotiations. I believe SE will want to retire this year or next. If he does retire pay JB 2 mil.

Todd is a DC. Aranda makes more than Todd. Brady has been the best assistant coach in college football this year, so other coaches' salaries really will not matter much. There is a reason that Brady is the only Broyles Award candidate, who is not a coordinator. Everyone with a brain knows who made the biggest difference with the offense this season.

You don't demote Ensminger. He's earned enough respect to not work under the guy he helped to mentor. He goes to an AHC/advisory role and you get another QB coach.

SE called most, but not all plays this year. JB is in the booth for a reason though. It looked like JB called a bunch of plays vs aTm. Regardless, I hope SE and JB will continue whatever synergy is going on there.
